DEARI has landed on the Electronic Music scene with determination, drive, and passion, releasing music captivating in sound and unique in approach, with influences that range from Artists like Calvin Harris, Sonny Fodera, and The Chainsmokers, his reputation within the genre continues to grow. With his latest releases, ‘Falling,’ and ‘Unstoppable,’ DEARI continues to push boundaries and release new music that showcases his signature sound; today, we sat down with DEARI to hear from about his interests outside of music.
Hey Deari! How are you today?
Great thank you! I’ve got an exciting year ahead on releases and I am excited to get more of my art to the world.
What do you like to do to relax? Do you have any hobbies?
Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to be a musician to a golfer. I was never good enough to take golf seriously, but it’s one of the ways I love to unwind. This would be my main hobby. I play most Saturdays, when I can. It’s a great way to get outside and clear the mind. I also enjoy going to the gym and watching sport, mostly football and golf.
If you could invite one person to dinner, dead or alive, who would it be?
Calvin Harris! I’d try and force him into the studio with me as well, to try and work out how he can make so many hits, so often. He’s one of my favorite producers ever, so to be able pick his brains for a few hours would be invaluable!
What is something that never fails to put you in a good mood?
Positive people. If we had more positive people in the world, it would be a much better place! Positive energy is the most infectious energy in the world.
Can you describe your perfect meal?
As described above I was massively into golf growing up and the winner of ‘The Masters’ are able to choose a meal for all the past winners. If I had won ‘The Masters’ this would be my Champions Dinner:
On Entry – Old fashioned cocktail and shortbread
Main Course – Sirloin steak, veggies and chips
Dessert – Caramel sticky toffee pudding
If you haven’t had caramel sticky toffee pudding, you are really missing out!
Do you have any pets?
I have a Spanish Water Dog called Bob. He is a very good boy!
What are three items you couldn’t survive without, on a desert island?
If I am trapped on a desert island, then luxury goods would be out of the question. I would like fresh water, rice, and a large knife. But, if I were to go luxury I would want an IPOD with loads of songs on it, my laptop, and a tent!
Books or movies?
Movies over books but I am not really a movie guy. I’d rather watch sport to unwind than watch a movie. A movie needs to be really good to keep me engaged.
Are you a morning, afternoon, or evening person?
I am 100% not a morning person! I would say afternoon or evening is when I am my best. It normally takes me an hour or so to just wake up but once I am awake properly I am all set!
Do you support any sports teams?
I am a Liverpool season ticket holder, and one of the best moments of my career so far, was actually hearing my song being played at Anfield. It’s something I can’t explain the feeling of and something I hope happens more often, because it was the most surreal experience!
