The multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer Snyder just dropped a new hit single, teaming up with vocalist Dre Of The East on “Narcissist”, which is out independently. Over the past couple of years, Snyder’s musical output has kept impressing fans and new listeners alike, something that is only natural since the Chicago-hailing producer is a master at always finding fresh sounds, and combining mainstream and electronic musical styles.
With “Narcissist”, which marks the first single off his upcoming album In the Dark, Snyder steps into reggaeton territory, complimenting Dre Of The East’s catchy vocal delivery with a mellow, groovy instrumental.
“I really wrote the instrumental of Narcissist in early 2019 when I was on a Pop kick,” explains Snyder about the process behind the song. “A lot of times I will create something in the moment and I’ll be too proud of the record to send it around, I only want to send it to one artist that I know will knock it out of the park – 8 months later that’s just what Dre did. Channeling the emotion of a tough breakup and a tough relationship due to being a Narcissist, this record tells a story I hope a lot of people can relate to.”
