Nicky Romero and Deniz Koyu release long-awaited Progressive House track “Destiny.” out on Protocol Recordings

A collaboration from these two is always a special treat, and we can only hope there are more in the future!

Iconic veterans Nicky Romero and Deniz Koyu team up once again, this time for their newest release “Destiny,” out on Romero‘s Protocol Recordings imprint. Both artists return to their roots on the track inspired by their classic vocal progressive house sound that took the world by storm in the EDM explosion of the early 2010s. With a soft opening focused on instrumentals and soulful vocals by Swedish singer Alexander Tidebrink, “Destiny” evolves into an uplifting drop with soaring melodies that are born for large scale festival stages. In fact, Nicky played it in his sets as the closing track since Tomorrowland 2019. Deniz and Nicky first teamed up in 2018 on their hit track “Paradise” ft. Walk Off The Earth, which amassed over 30M streams on Spotify alone. “Destiny” follows Romero‘s highly anticipated “RedefineEP and single “Stay.” On the flip side Koyu recently released original singles, such as “Feel It” on Tiësto‘s Musical Freedom, and “Enemy” on Martin Garrix‘s STMPD RCRDS.

Nicky Romero has quickly progressed from a young musical prodigy to one of the most prolific names in modern dance music. He is not only a talented DJ and producer but also the label mogul of Protocol Recordings and a mentor to the up-and-coming artists whose careers he helps to cultivate. Romero‘s resume is an impressive and lengthy string of hits, including classic originals and collaborations with artists including Avicii, Calvin Harris, Krewella, ZEDD, and more. His radio show “Protocol Radio” receives over 40M listeners every week across over 100 FM radio stations worldwide. Deniz Koyu is a dance music veteran who has helped to shape the landscape of progressive and electro house music as it is today with iconic club hits such as “Tung! “, “Bong” and many more. His work also included high-profile remixes of Alesso‘s “Is That For Me” and The Chainsmokers‘ “Young.” Both Romero and Koyu have evolved with the constantly changing landscape of electronic music while staying true to their roots. A collaboration from these two is always a special treat, and we can only hope there are more in the future!
