Burning Man last month has released an update about their 2021 edition, but at the time they didn’t share a lot of details about this year’s edition because “simply too early to make the call”, but luckily after just a couple of weeks later they came with some info about 2021 and shared the name of the theme.
The most awaited piece of news was published recently on their website and it is about the theme of Burning Man 2021, Terra Incognita, which is a Latin phrase – “Unknown Land” and it is tied to the Egyptian Scholar Ptolemy. Even if the chance to reunite the Burning Man attendees at the same spot like in the past years on the Black Rock City is not clear yet, the organizers stated the following “This year’s Burning Man theme is an invitation to emerge from our collective isolation, to explore the unfamiliar contours of a changed world, and to reimagine ourselves, our community, and our culture in ways that might not have been possible before this period of plague and pause.” – Stuart Mangrum
