The story of Fyre Festival is one to be written in history books of how not to organize a music festival. The story still continues to unfold though after several high-profile lawsuits have come available to the public. A festival’s trustee is suing multiple artists, influencers, and talent agencies to reclaim the money they invested to promote the festival.
Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, Blink-182 and also agencies representing Tyga, Pusha T, Skepta and more have all been sued.
The trustee is seeking to reclaim the fees the artists, labels, and influencers were paid to perform at and promote the festival and due to the fact that the festival has never actually taken place and the money was alll illegally collected by Billy McFarland.
McFarland is currently serving a six-year sentence in prison for fraud. Despite that, he claims that there will be a second edition of Fyre Festival.
