Alesso has treated dance music and pop fans alike with the release of his mega house-pop collaboration “When I’m Gone”. Joining forces with Katy Perry, one of the biggest pop stars in the world, the dance-pop crossover single adds another feather in the cap for the Swedish producer who has previously partnered with some of the most decorated songwriters including Ryan Tedder, Tove Lo, Liam Payne, and more.
“When I’m Gone” was previously teased by Perry on social media in promotional videos for her “Katy Perry: Play” series of shows at The Theatre at Resorts World resort and casino. The audio version of the single was dropped on the day of the debut of her Las Vegas residency to kick off the shows in style before the release of the upcoming music video. The influence of the collaboration can already be seen with the premiere of the single at the halftime of CFP Championship game solidifying a major launch amongst the college football fans.
