The iconic Lollapalooza Berlin festival, one of the most anticipated musical events of the summer in Europe, will have a Spanish presence this coming weekend. The Andalusian DJ B Jones will play this Sunday, September 8th, on the stage dedicated to electronic rhythms, the Perry’s Stage. This is the first time that an artist from our country performs at this legendary event.
Created in 1991 in the United States, Lollapalooza is a global festival brand with mul2ple loca2ons around the world (Chicago, Buenos Aires, San2ago de Chile, Paris, Stockholm…). In 2024, it will celebrate its 8th edition in the German capital with more than 70 concerts held on 7 stages located in the enormous Olympia stadium complex and its adjoining park, with a focus on sustainability and eco-friendly actions.
80,000 people are expected to aWend the festival each day (Saturday and Sunday), which is held during the day (12:00-22:30). Big names from indie, pop and rock are invited, such as Sam Smith, Burna Boy, OneRepublic, Seventeen and CRO; and electronic music icons such as Martin Garrix or The Chainsmokers.
For B Jones, performing at #LollaBerlin is the culmination of a sensational summer, with a double appearance at Tomorrowland (Belgium) in July, shows in Italy, Greece, France, Egypt and Turkey, as well as dozens of performances at Spanish festivals and clubs. The DJ is going further than any Spanish woman in dance music and breaking all the glass ceilings for women with a mainstream sound.
The Spanish Dj performance will take place on Sunday, September 8th, from 12:30 to 14:30. The German telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom will broadcast B Jones’ session via livestreaming to the whole world through its online channel hWps://www.magentamusik.de/lollapalooza-2024-livestream
