Multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ from St. Petersburg, Aspyer, is back on STMPD RCRDS with ‘The Rest Of Your Life’. The long period of self-isolation was emotionally draining and affected Aspyer’s creative process as well, which is why he decided to move to his hometown for a little while. Rebooting quickly enough, the inspiration came back and he came up with the harmony that meant the start of ‘The Rest Of Your Life’.
He premiered the track during his 1001Tracklists set on the rooftop in St.Petersburg with panoramic view of the city and received many positive reactions and support after. The only thing that was missing were vocals. Using the acapella of one of his favorite tracks ‘Tokyo By Night’, the quest began to find the perfect vocalist. After not being able to find a suitable vocal, Aspyer decided to reach out to Karin Park, the actual voice on ‘Tokyo By Night’.
Aspyer: ’Hearing the first demo gave me goosebumps. It was very comfortable for me to work with Karin as we could openly discuss all ideas and Karin was up for any changes. I’m proud of this track and incredibly glad that the release took place.’
