Deadmau5 New EP ‘some ep’: Track Highlights from the Release

Deadmau5 Releases New EP 'some ep' - testpilot

some ep kicks off with “Quezacotl,” characterized by its symphonic-like chords that act as a rallying cry, leading into a surge of melodic synths that showcase deadmau5’s signature style.

This track made its debut during the sold-out ‘retro5spective: 25 years of deadmau5’ shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and the Brooklyn Mirage in NYC earlier this year. The EP also includes “Wet,” an epic techno production from deadmau5’s alter ego TESTPILOT.

This track, marking TESTPILOT’s first studio production since 2014, takes listeners on a dark, pulsating journey through complex synth patterns and four-on-the-floor beats.

The collection is rounded out by “Sever” and “Input Output,” both of which further exemplify deadmau5’s versatility and production prowess. “Input Output” also premiered at the Brooklyn Mirage during the ‘retro5spective’ show.
