Just over two weeks ago, the organizers of EDC Portugal informed fans that an update will be given on May 10 on whether the show will take place or not. Taking to social media earlier today, they announced that EDC Portugal 2021 will not take place on the original dates of June 18-20 and has been moved to next year due to the uncertain developments of safety requirements in Europe.
Stating the continuing travel restrictions and other pandemic-related protocol complications, the organizers made a statement informing fans of the reasons for the delay in what was going to be the debut chapter of EDC in Portugal. You can read the full post using the link from the tweet below.
Recruiting top talent for the event with Tiësto, DJ Snake, Armin van Buuren, W&W, and many more scheduled to headline the show, they have guaranteed that next year’s lineup will be even better to make up for the delay. Fans will be excited to return to the festivals and attend the first edition of EDC in Portugal which will take place in Praia da Rocha, a beautiful beach in Southern Portugal.
The event has been postponed to June 17-19, 2022 and attendees have the opportunity to transfer their tickets to next year’s edition or request a refund using an email that EDC will send by this Friday, May 14.
