Lost Frequencies, the global DJ and producer behind chart-topping hits like Are You With Me, talks to EDMNOMAD ahead of his performance in Jeddah’s Balad Beast on Friday January 31, 2025 and his highly anticipated return to Bohemia Beach Club at FIVE Palm Jumeirah on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Known for his signature blend of uplifting melodies and emotional depth, he continues to connect with audiences worldwide, and his performances in Dubai are no exception. In this exclusive interview, Lost Frequencies reflects on his achievements, his bond with Middle Eastern audiences, and what’s next for his ever-evolving sound in 2025.
Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Highlights
For Lost Frequencies, 2024 was a year of incredible milestones. From the massive success of his track Are You With Me surpassing 1 billion streams, to gracing the cover of Forbes Belgium, his accomplishments spanned both music and cultural influence. Reflecting on the key moments of the year that passed, he shares:
“Touring my ‘All Stand Together’ album with an amazing team and experiencing that with fans worldwide will always be a memory I cherish,” he says. “Headlining Pacha in Ibiza was another highlight, and as always, hosting my Lost Frequencies & Friends stage at Tomorrowland is a stand-out for me every year.”
Lost Frequencies’ gratitude shines through as he thanks his fans for their unwavering support, promising to make 2025 even bigger and better.
“Are You With Me”: A Career-Defining Milestone
The global success of Are You With Me—now surpassing 1 billion Spotify streams—remains a defining achievement in Lost Frequencies’ career. The track introduced his artistry to a global audience and continues to resonate with fans worldwide.
The standout track has garnered remarkable global success, achieving 6X platinum status in the Netherlands. It reached top 10 in several European countries including the UK, France, Spain and Germany, topping the charts in Australia and reaching #1 on Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart.
This achievement marks Lost Frequencies’ second song to join Spotify’s exclusive billions club. A distinction held by fewer than 1000 tracks. His previous hit, ‘Where Are You Now’, broke records as the first song by a Belgian artist to achieve this milestone. It solidifies the producer’s position as a global music icon.
“That was the release that propelled me into the spotlight as an artist, and it’s something I’ll forever be grateful for,” he says. “That track is still celebrated today, which is an amazing feeling that isn’t lost on me. I’ve grown so much as an artist since those early days, and my music has developed even more creatively. I appreciate all my fans, from those there in the beginning to those who’ve just stepped into my world.”
A Special Connection with the Middle East
Lost Frequencies has built a strong relationship with audiences across the region that grows deeper in 2025. For him, performing in the Middle East offers an unparalleled experience. It allows him to connect with fans who are both open to new sounds and deeply enthusiastic about the electronic music genre, such as those attending his headline set at Balad Beast in Jeddah’s UNESCO heritage site on January 31.
“It’s amazing how forward-thinking Middle Eastern countries have become in recent years,” he reflects. “To be able to visit and play my music to audiences so far away from home never gets old and is always a feeling I cherish. My fans in the region are always open to new experiences, which translates so well—it’s super exciting to return.”
Signature Sounds on the Sands of Bohemia
Performing at Bohemia Beach Club in Dubai is a familiar yet exciting venture for Lost Frequencies. With its unique beachfront atmosphere, the venue provides the perfect backdrop for his emotive and melodic music. “I always enjoy returning to Dubai, and Bohemia Beach Club has the ultimate vibe,” he shares. “It’s a great setting to party in and perform at. I feel like my music can really translate into that environment. Together we can feel the unity of electronic music in the Middle East!”
The unity he describes is central to his performances. Especially in Dubai, where the growing electronic music scene provides a fresh, forward-thinking audience that’s eager to embrace his sound.

Looking Ahead: New Creativity in 2025
As Lost Frequencies steps into 2025, he remains committed to evolving his sound while staying true to the uplifting and emotional music his fans love.
“I won’t stray far from the sound I’ve crafted, but I always want to push myself forward creatively,” he explains. “That could mean collaborations with exciting new producers, working with talented songwriters, or performing in new locations around the world. I’ll keep expanding creatively as much as I can.”
This drive to innovate stems from his passion for music and commitment to originality. “There’s no secret potion or magic trick. My motivation comes from striving for originality and staying true to who I am,” he says.
Evolving With His Fans
Lost Frequencies believes the evolution of his sound happens naturally. It’s driven by his growth as an artist and the loyalty of his fans.
“As I grow, my fans grow alongside me. I’m lucky to have such an amazing audience that understands my vision,” he concludes.
With his upcoming performance at Balad Beast and Bohemia Beach Club, Lost Frequencies celebrates his career milestones while showcasing his vision for the future. Beyond the Middle East, his global fans can expect nothing less than a masterclass in electronic music, unity, and innovation.
