Ken Bauer has been kept busy lately. While releasing hard-hitting tracks like ‘Iron’ and ‘I Just Wanna Rave’ that have earned a lot of praise and attention, he has been working on his own radio show ‘Ken Bauer’s Power Hour’ in which he features more of that sound that his fans know and love. Mixing some music from great favorites of the Future Rave genre with some of his out hot tracks, he takes his listeners to the ultimate club experience, wherever they are and whenever they listen. We had the chance to talk with Ken and ask him a few questions about his new radio show.
- Congratulations on the launch of your Radio Show, how are you?
I am doing fine. Thanks for asking. I am overwhelmed with all the positive response I have received for the show.
- How did the idea come to you about creating ‘Power Hour’ radio show?
I wanted to create a mix show with less talk and more music with focus on extended club mixes. I want you to feel that you are in the club when listening to the show. It is also very important for me to support upcoming artists and not only the established artists. So, this will also be a great way for the listeners to discover new music and artists.
- Does your show focus on one genre or multiple different genres?
As I am a big fan of Future Rave and produce in that genre myself there is a focus on Future Rave. But I do mix with Electro House, Melodic Techno, Progressive House & Trance. Basically, anything that gets well with the Future Rave vibe.
- How often will ‘Power Hour’ be released?
This is a weekly show so it will be released every week.
- Will you be having any guests on your show?
Yes, I already have Heavyweight DJs and upcoming DJs locked in for future episodes. So, stay tuned.
- What are some artists you’d like to have as guests on the show?
Apart from the Future Rave founders, David Guetta & MORTEN and established artists such as Dada Life, Nicky Romero and Kryder, I would like to see upcoming artists. For example, Justus, HEADER, Mark Roma, Yantosh, Nanoviola, ALEX LNDN to name a few.
- What do you think makes your show different from others?
The mix between established and upcoming DJs and producers and of course the music selection.
- What channels will the show be on?
As I understand it, it will be available on a lot of channels, with more stations added each week, as well as all podcast providers such as Amazon, Apple & Spotify.
- Finally, do you have an email where other DJs/Producers can send their promos to you?
