Neversea Festival, the most beautiful and coloured music festival on a beach, celebrated its 5th edition this weekend, from July 6 to 9. On all 4 days and nights of freedom, joy, music, and diversity, more than 277,000 participants from across the globe joined Europe’s largest beach festival in the coastal city of Constanța, Romania. Over 150 DJs and artists played memorable shows from sunset until sunrise on the 6 stages of the festival: The mainstage, The Ark, Daydreaming, Retro, Balkaniada, and Latino stage.
THE FIRST DAY OF NEVERSEA WELCOMED LIL UZI VERT, ALOK, TIMMY TRUMPET, AND MORE
The festival started on Thursday, July 6, with Lil Uzi Vert, Alok, Timmy Trumpet, and local artists on the main stage. Over 65,000 fans joined the festival on the first day and enjoyed every show.
Alok, the DJ ranked 4th in the Top 100 DJ Mag, was one of the highlights offered by the organizers of Neversea for the anniversary edition. With a personalized stage setup, the Brazilian DJ captivated the audience with an energetic DJ set. Making his debut at the festival on the shores of the Black Sea, Alok prepared a surprise by inviting INNA on stage and playing together their hit “It Don’t Matter.” “Neversea, you are amazing, Romania; I love you!” were the words with which Alok closed his set.
The Australian artist Timmy Trumpet took the festival’s excitement to the next level. With a mix of classical music and EDM Big Room, Trumpet premiered his latest single, “Eternity”, at Neversea. He invited his wife, Anett, and Cosmin, a Romanian fan of Timmy, to the main stage to enjoy the show together.
THE SECOND DAY OF NEVERSEA HOSTED LIL PUMP, CLAPTONE, MORTEN, STEVE AOKI, TUJAMO, AND MORE
More than 72,000 participants joined the Neversea Festival on Friday, July 7. Lil Pump, one of the headliners, was carried in the arms of his fans from the mainstage. The American artist included songs from his latest album “Lil Pump 2” in his live performance, as well as his chart-topping hits like “Gucci Gang,” a song certified with five Platinum Discs for record sales, “I Love It,” and “Iced Out.” As the headliner of the Neversea festival, Lil Pump performed alongside the crowd from the first to the last song, and at the end, he expressed his gratitude to his Romanian fans.
MORTEN, one of the creators of the FUTURE RAVE style, alongside his partner and mentor, David Guetta, is considered one of the most highly regarded producers/DJs in the new wave and made his debut at Neversea in a grand fashion with a perfect DJ set.
The most successful tracks released under the FUTURE RAVE project, such as “Dreams,” “Kill Me Slow,” “Permanence,” “You Can’t Change Me,” the latest collaboration with Guetta, “Lost in The Rhythm,” and the fabulous remix of “Titanium,” generated an absolute euphoria and conveyed the Danish artist’s love for music and the Neversea audience.
“Romania, you are amazing, and I love you. I want to show my Danish friends what this extraordinary festival means. You are incredible!” said MORTEN.
Ranked among the top 10 DJs in the world, Steve Aoki is one of the most loved DJs in Romania. The American DJ and producer also declare his love for the festival each year. Aoki’s energy took the fun to the next level; he presented exclusive remixes, had a moment in memory of Avicii, prepared 20 specially crafted cakes for the famous “Cake Me!” moment, and had the Neversea main stage filled with fans dancing alongside their favourite DJ.
Tujamo is one of the DJs with a massive fanbase in Romania, a country he returns to with great pleasure each time. One of the surprises prepared by the German artist exclusively for the festival fans was INNA, the famous Romanian singer. Tujamo and INNA collaborated on a song that premiered live at Neversea. The charismatic DJ was joyfully welcomed by the fans who witnessed the sunrise from the mainstage on the beats of Tujamo.
THE THIRD DAY OF NEVERSEA HAD OVER 70,000 FANS WHO ENJOYED LOST FREQUENCIES, DON DIABLO, CKAY, VINI VICI, LEE BURRIDGE AND MORE
One of the most anticipated DJs on the mainstage was the master of future house, Don Diablo. The Dutch artist, known for his innovative electronic music approach, was thrilled to reunite with his fans from Romania and abroad. He prepared a special show for them as a token of gratitude for their unwavering support. “Greetings, Neversea! I love you all, and thank you!” – was the message with which Don Diablo kicked off his energetic and captivating set, specially crafted for the fans of the biggest beach festival in Europe.
There’s an incredible connection between Don Diablo and his fans. The artist generated excitement with the songs included in his DJ set. From classic productions in remix versions to tracks from his “FOREVER” album, fans lived every moment with maximum intensity. At the show’s end, the artist, who currently holds the 9th position in the DJ Mag Top 100, presented his new single, “Stop Loving You”. The end of his show was filled with emotion with a remix version of “Fix You” by Coldplay. Tens of thousands of raised phones illuminated the sky over Neversea, and the audience applauded their favourite DJ. Don Diablo even ventured into the midst of his fans, proudly waving the flag of Romania. “Neversea, you bring joy every time! I can’t wait to see you again!” expressed Don Diablo. The Dutch producer revealed that he is preparing to release a concept album dedicated to his father.
Lost Frequencies, one of the most charismatic artists in electronic music, was one of the beautiful surprises offered by the creators of Neversea for the anniversary edition. The Belgian artist declared his love for the Romanian audience and Neversea, a festival that manages to recreate a unique atmosphere with each edition. He prepared a special show concept for tens of thousands of fans.
As always, Lost Frequencies delighted the Neversea fans with a surprise: the premiere of his single, “Diving To Your Love,” warmly applauded by his fans.
Vini Vici created a true psytrance journey on the mainstage, while Lee Buridge fired up the Daydreaming stage with his stunning set.
THE FOURTH & LAST DAY OF NEVERSEA HAD THE PERFECT ENDING WITH J BALVIN, PAUL KALKBRENNER, SALVATORE GANACCI, DUBFIRE AND SÉBASTIEN LÉGER
Another moment that took the fun to another level was Salvatore Ganacci’s set. A nonconformist artist, the Bosniac-Swedish DJ was the vibrant highlight of the anniversary edition of the Neversea festival. It wasn’t just a DJ set; it was a visual spectacle. Ganacci’s dance moves and jokes brought bursts of laughter from the crowd. Currently on a promotional tour for his new album, “Take Me To America,” Salvatore included a premiere in his mainstage performance—a brand new single called “Your Mother.”
The beach festival was also a food festival with over 20 food vendors, from burgers to pizza, sandwiches, salads, seafood, Mexican & Asian goodies, and many more tastes for everyone.
The fifth edition of the Neversea Festival was filled with colour, premieres, tears of joy, bursts of laughter, and dancing until sunrise. It was about the coolest group of friends who sang and danced along with their favourite artists on each of the festival’s six stages. Neversea 2023 is the place where new memories were created.
