Just over a week after the release of “Nurture”, Porter Robinson landed twelve out of fourteen songs from the album on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic chart at the same time. His excellence in production was prominent as the only two tracks not to chart were the singles that had previously been released before the album launch.
Now, it should come as no surprise that his second full-length LP “Nurture” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart (week of May 8). This massive achievement shows how influential the album is with Porter breaking boundaries of how electronic music is generally perceived. It is also the first album to debut on top of the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart in 2021.
Porter had been working on the album since the release of his debut LP ‘Worlds’ back in 2014 and comes as his first project after ‘Virtual Self’ EP in 2017. He also announced the dates for a gigantic “Nurture Live” 2021 North America tour that kicks off in Eugene, Oregon this September 23.
