Rave The Future, a new project for NFTs and music lovers launched this year, is trying to change the music industry. It is a collection of 10,000 unique computer generated Ravers with over 230 features handcrafted by one of the best artists in the world. Each Raver contains unique traits inspired by real life ravers. Rave The Future is a unique project created by the team behind the EDM scene’s phenomenon, EDMNOMAD, who has brought their idea to the point of creation.
One of the main ideas behind the project is running a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) Record Label with the Rave The Future NFT holders being the owners, managers, A&R of the label. They basically have the sole authority over the Rave The Future DAO Record Label. As such, the first song they have voted to release is called ‘As Long As I Got You’ by Ed Lev.
The vibes of ‘As Long As I Got You’ makes it the perfect soundtrack for this summer, with a melodic breakdown and drop that gets your mind wandering to the endless summer beaches and bakingly hot weather! The vocals are the cherry on the cake and the voice of Christopher Daniel Cron brings the lyrics and the song as a whole to the next level.

We’ve also brought Ed Lev for a chat and asked him a few questions about the song, his life and what he thinks about the whole NFTs & music industry intersection.
- What’s the story behind the song? How and when did you start working on it?
Ed Lev: I started working on this song about 6 months ago, and it was when I didn’t even try to create relationships with girls in my life, and I wanted to tell myself that I shouldn’t give up on love. I wrote it about someone imaginary in my head, and told her that I’m not going to leave this world without even trying to reach and talk to her. The Lyrics ‘as long as I got you’ came from my imagination where I pictured us together, and that with her everything is much easier and fun.
Now, at least, I try to talk to girls! Haha
- How would you define your sounds? Where do you get your inspiration from when producing music?
Ed Lev: I think my sound is very melodic, and emotional in a way. I really love to put more depth to my music with something meaningful. I always try to write lyrics and chords that compliment each other. This is something that is really important to me.
My inspiration comes from a combination of things that happen in my life and also from artists I love like Tritonal, KSHMR, Armin van Buurenn, Audien and many more.
- How familiar are you with NFTs? Do you think they could be embraced by the music industry and thus evolve together? If yes, how do you think that would happen?
Ed Lev: Recently, I’ve been learning more and more about NFTs and about their relationship with music. I think this is the future of music, and I think this is the future of everything actually.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I also see it as a great way for musicians like me to make decent amounts of money without relying on royalties from streaming platforms, which, to be honest, doesn’t pay your rent unless you’re a really big and well known artist. I’m aiming to work more with NFTs and music in the near future.
- How do you feel about your song being voted to be released via the DAO Record Label solely by the Rave The Future NFT holders?
Ed Lev: Well, I wasn’t one hundred percent sure about this song when I sent it to record labels, and when Rave The Future reached out to me I was really excited, especially because they are from EDMNOMAD, which is a really big music network. I have to admit that at first I was a bit afraid of all this NFT idea, but once I saw that my song was voted I decided to go for it and to take a chance with it.
I got really excited to see that people love this song and suddenly my confidence about the song got much higher.
