Music, magic, memories… are not just a few words- these perfectly describe the 6th Edition of Untold Festival. Between 9th-12th September 2021, more than 265.000 participants joined under the same sky in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
After more than 2 years without the thrilling experience of the music festival, Luna rose again to lighten and reunify the Untold family. The theme edition, Luna- The Rising brought for 4 days and 4 nights a star-spangled line-up, including one of the most prominent DJs, artists, and bands in the World such as David Guetta, Martin Garrix, DJ Snake, Afrojack, Alok, Tujamo, The Script, Tyga, Parov Stelar, Paul Van DYK, Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens and many more. People from 100 countries traveled the world and the seven seas to create a Pantheon of fondest memories.
Untold Festival- The safest public space in Europe
To be able to cherish again the tingling sense of impending bliss, Untold Festival implemented one of the most comprehensive safety measures. The access to the festival was granted exclusively by the Digital EU COVID-19 Certificate or antigen rapid testing in the Untold approved centres.
To validate the veracity, all certificates were scanned with the official VACCIN.LIVE application. According to the official numbers, 75% of the participants that entered the festival area were vaccinated people.
A snippet of epicness
This year, Untold had 7 artful stages (Main Stage, Galaxy Stage, Alchemy Stage, Daydreaming, Time, Fortune, Tram), with all kinds of musical styles to choose from. Across all stages, the sound and the graphic quality were undeniable.
Even from the first day, history was written. Steve Aoki prepared a special moment with the Romanian singer Delia, who interpreted the soundtrack of the series Casa Del Papel.
Also, the American rapper, Tyga who came to Romania for the first time invited on the stage DJ Snake and brought together the craziness on the main stage.
A special moment was the opening ceremony, which unveiled the story of Untold 2021 and illuminate the sky with fireworks.
Friday kicked off with Justin Mylo, who played for the first time his latest track- Pillow Fighting. Moreover, Martin Garrix prepared a unique moment on the stage with a close artist of Untold, Tinie Tempah. The night was full of magic, and an emotional part was the recital offered by the Master of the Pan Flute, Gheorghe Zamfir. One of the biggest wishes of the musician is to create the first International Academy of Pan Flute- Gheorghe Zamfir. Untold Festival showed appreciation for this initiative and promotes the project.
The third day brought a mind-blowing line-up. The #1 DJ in the World, David Guetta produced an unbeatable set and tested for the first time the brand new remix of Farruko-`Pepas`. On Saturday, The Script rocked away with his live performance and enchanted the audience with his marvelous vocals. Another premiere that happen in the realm of Untold was the meeting for the first time between Lost Frequencies and Calum Scott, with whom he produced the song „Where Are You Now”.
Also, the last day of the festival celebrated magical experiences and life-enhancing sounds. On the main stage, Afrojack, Ofenbach, Quintino, Martin Solveig, and other DJs made the 12th of September an unforgettable night. Untold Festival ended with an emotional ceremony and an impressive fireworks display.
The madness could be encountered on all stages. The Galaxy Stage hosted techno superstars such as Paul Kalkbrenner, Charlotte de Wite, Amelie Lens, Nina Kraviz, Pan-Pot, Tale of Us, Claptone Daytime Show, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones B2B Loco Dice, Raresh, Rhadoo, and more.
Alchemy Stage, the bass lovers stage, had a line-up formed by Camo & Krooked, Caspa, Chase & Status DJ Set, DUB FX & Woodnote, Netsky, Rudimental, Wilkinson DJ Set & MC AD-APT, Dirtyphonics, and many more.
The Daydreaming stage, Fortune and Time hosted over 100 artists such as Monolink, DJ Dark & Mentol, Marc Rayen& Mike Kross, Viken Arman, Cosmic Gate, Markus Schulz, etc.
One of the most attractive parts of the festival was Nostalgia, where people of all ages enjoyed, danced, and listened to the golden hits.
Untold was more than a music festival, a place where people slid into a 4-day of activities and fun. People could treat themselves, unwind and recover after their favorite artists.
For a great festival look, in the park, the fashion corner hosted 20 Romanian designers. For those who wanted to sparkle and shine, the Fantasy House awaited them with make-up designers and hairstylists, who created special looks. More, the official merchandise of Untold presented fashionable and inspiring items.
Untold 2021 had more than 60 vendors with food. Pasta, Pizza, Asian, Mexican Food or maybe vegan dishes or sweets, anything was available in the festival area.
Needless to say that Untold has more activities and things to try than any festival. During the 4 days and 4 nights, the festival-goers had the opportunity to play games, chill in special design areas, read books in a truck, take photos with unusual decor, try a driving simulator, and many, many more. For those passionate about Cryptocurrency, they had the occasion to find out more about Elrond and also to register for substantial prizes.
Recycling materials was a very important topic in the festival and aimed to educate the public about waste reduction, reuse, and recycling. The sponsors and partners of the event combined recycling with innovation to show creative ways to save the resources. Participants who contribute to these initiatives received gifts.
The biggest festival organized this year in Europe has closed its doors. Luna had risen to celebrate the reunion of the People of Untold.
Now Chapter 6 is imbued with happiness, stories, and mesmerizing soundtracks that will be relived in the future times.
