ROUMEX Drops Remix for GNTN & Eleonora’s “Through The Silence”

The classical-influenced duo presents a new take on the original with their blistering low-end and fresh sounds

ROUMEX prove once again why they are one of the hottest upcoming names in Europe with their remix of GNTN and Eleonora’s latest single “Through The Silence”. The German duo of Johannes and Phillipp, are known for their genre-bending style of music that combines designs from melodic house, techno, and deep house together.

Taking inspiration from traditional music, they incorporate classical influenced elements into the electronic dance music realm. The remix highlights their creative process where each idea is birthed from classical instruments such as a violin or piano.

The remix starts with a plucky lead introducing the listener to the beat. ROUMEX add their touch with a dark piano joining in for a chord hit. The airy vocals sweep across the drums as another lead follows with an eerie pad layered under it. Orchestral elements are used to set the mood for transitions with the piano being the most notable.

Adding their own touch to the song, the vocal sounds darker and more laidback than the original while retaining the beautiful harmonies. They have really made the breakdown shine with their unique sound adding a different vibe to this. With a blistering bassline and heavy low-end, ROUMEX have taken the original into a new direction that adds a nocturnal character to it. Considering the integration of orchestral instruments in their live sets, this song will be a treat to experience live with the crowd.
