XP Music Futures 2024 continues to shape Saudi Arabia’s music scene through its partnership with the Saudi Music Commission.
Now in its fourth year, this collaboration supports local talent while fostering global industry connections.
2024: A Flourishing Year
Backed by a globally recognized music festival like Soundstorm, XP Music Futures empowers Saudi talent, ensuring that artists like Cosmicat and Dish Dash gain international recognition.
XP Music Futures, part of the Saudi MDLBEAST Foundation, drives the MENA music industry’s evolution. It emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and nurturing talent.
This year’s theme, Flourish, reflects Saudi Arabia’s continuous growth in the music sector. It offers new opportunities for artists and industry professionals.
Initiatives Empowering MENA Talent
A key highlight of XP Music Futures is the HUNNA Initiative, which focuses on supporting and mentoring women in music. This program creates an inclusive environment, helping female artists grow through partnerships with established mentors. HUNNA aims to empower emerging female artists, setting a new standard for regional inclusivity.
XPERFORM, a singing competition, allows regional vocalists to showcase their talents. Winners will gain opportunities to work with MDLBEAST Records, providing a platform for career growth. The competition emphasizes star quality, charisma, and vocal skill, adding fresh voices to the scene.
Meanwhile, Storm Shaker gives up-and-coming DJs the chance to earn a spot on Soundstorm, happening December 14th to 16th. The competition focuses on technical skill, mixing expertise, and musicality, allowing aspiring DJs to make their mark.
Beyond performance, XP Music Futures emphasized professional development through the Artist Management Bootcamp in Saudi. This intensive program trains future managers in contracts, branding, and artist care, preparing them for industry success.
Sound Futures supports music entrepreneurs in the tech and business fields. During Pitch Day at XP Music Futures 2024, selected ventures will present ideas to potential investors, showcasing innovation.
Xchange, a series of workshops, looks at opportunities for music professionals to learn and collaborate. Earlier editions this year in Kuwait and Tunisia gathered industry leaders, sparking vibrant discussions. Insights from these sessions will appear in the annual ‘Xine’ print.
A Future to Look Forward To
XP Music Futures 2024 will run from December 5th to 7th in Riyadh’s JAX District, offering sessions and networking. Like Soundstorm, the conference connects Saudi Arabia’s music scene with global platforms, reinforcing the Kingdom’s growing role in music.
