- Hey Zafrir, how are you? We’re glad to have you here! Today we’re going to ask you some questions about your newly released song ‘La Noche’ with Ruffman! We must admit it, the song is a banger!
Hey! I’m feeling great, thanks!
I’m very happy that you loved the song, it means a lot to me!
- What can you tell us about the story behind ‘La Noche’? Where did the inspiration come from? How did you meet up with Ruffman and decided to collaborate on it?
It started with a violin line that I wrote, on a new electronic beat. I wanted to combine the ethnic world with the new sound, but I still felt that something was missing, so I thought to give it a Jamaican feel. I started to search for inspiration through the internet, and I found a very unique sample of Jamaican Vocals, and in my music I always try to use original elements, so I found the amazing singer behind the sample (Ruffman) and made contact with him. I sent him the beat, and he did his thing perfectly.
- What vibes are you trying to share with the listeners through ‘La Noche’? What do you want to express through the song?
First of all I want people to enjoy and get excited by the music they hear, and secondly I want them to feel the combinations of all the genres and understand that our power is together, and everything is open!

- Your songs are always very energetic, and you are always using a variety of instruments played by yourself. How many instruments can you play? Do you think playing an instrument comes with many advantages for a music producer?
Thanks a lot!
I had the passion from a young age to play instruments and every time that I saw another instrument and heard the different sounds it made, I became more and more curious about it.
I play more than 15 different instruments and it’s very important for me to record live sounds in my art, as I love to bring things from their source and combine them with the new world.
I think that as long as you know more and more about music in general, it always helps for your productions.
- Can you tell us more about the creative process behind ‘La Noche’? How much time did you spend working on it and which part (producing, mixing, mastering etc.) took you longer to finish?
I have been working on this song for something like 1 month because most of the ideas were already ready. The longest part was to search for the source of the Jamaican vibes and I’m lucky that I found Ruffman, because he completed it perfectly.
- Who was the first person that listened to your song, and what was her/his reaction to it?
My parents heard it for the first time because they have a really good taste and they understand me most of the time, and on their first listen they thought that was it!
- Have you played ‘La Noche’ at a show so far? If not, where and when can we expect to experience it live?
I haven’t had the chance to play it live yet, but on my upcoming show I’m gonna perform it!
- You love playing your instruments live on the stage. Is it everything planned ahead of time or do you improvise all the time on the stage?
It depends, most of the time I love to arrange everything cause my show it technical, but there’s times that I can improvise a solo and it’s very nice for me
- You recently played a DJ mix for your YouTube Channel, can you tell us more about that location where you recorded it?
This set means a lot to me cause I always love the vibes of space, and I found a place here in Israel in the city Ashdod with a big plate that looks like a spaceship and we managed everything to be very spacy I played Winners Anthem, United, Siliwa Hay, Essa Einai, Rude Boy,Ouman (MizmorL’David) and more.
- That’s all for now! Thank you for answering our questions. We are excited for your future songs, and we can’t wait to see what else you have prepared for us!
Thank you so much, it was a big pleasure!
