In the world of electronic dance music, one name has been consistently making waves last year – LUNAX, also known as “AJ.” At 21 years of age, the German DJane and music producer has made an amazing career leap. She started her musical journey five years ago and released her first single in spring 2020. Since then, LUNAX has reached 350 million streams, over 50 million YouTube views and more than three million monthly listeners on Spotify. Her single “I Like” not only entered the official Top 100 Airplay Charts in Germany, but also climbed to #44 on the German Spotify charts.
In addition to collaborations with major artists such as Blasterjaxx, Marnik, MOTi and Mike Candys, LUNAX has also proven her remix talent on tracks by well-known artists such as Scooter, Timmy Trumpet, Flo Rida and Laidback Luke. „I was freaking out when we got the green light to officially release the remix for Scooter of ‚For Those About To Rave‘ (with Timmy Trumpet). Besides my fascination with Scooter, I’m also a huge Timmy Trumpet fan for years, it all just feels incredibly surreal what happened this summer“, said LUNAX. Her music has found a home on some of the industry’s biggest labels, including Spinnin’ Records, Armada Music, Maxximize, Kontor Records and Sony. One of her other highlights, as the young woman says, was when she was able to play as the opening act during Scooter’s “God Save The Rave Tour”: “Scooter is a legend and brings an incredible energy to the stage for many years now, it’s impressive. It was an incredible feeling to share the stage with them and an honor to perform here as support!”
LUNAX’s DJ career took off during pandemic. Started with livestreams, she captivated thousands of viewers who became fans. As the clubs and festivals reopened, LUNAX’s stage presence also increased. She has performed at Germany’s most prestigious venues and festivals, including Parookaville, DJ Mag #5 Club Bootshaus in Cologne, World Club Dome, Electrisize, Open Beatz Festival, Ruhr In Love, Proton, Halo, Index, and many more. But her fame is also rising internationally. She had her first performance in front of a live audience of 4000 people at the renowned Noa Beach Club in Croatia (DJ Mag #30). This year LUNAX performed at to Boomerang in Hong Kong (DJ Mag #72). She has also been playing regular shows in Mallorca since last year.
About her last months LUNAX says: „Without a doubt, so many things have been topped this year, I’ve reached so many milestones, some of which I hadn’t even imagined. For example, I had my first Live-TV appearance and performed my singles ‚I Like‘ and ‚Heaven In Your Eyes‘ for 2 million people at ZDF-Fernsehgarten. That was a crazy experience! In general, my tour schedule was fuller than ever before. It was really hard and you have to take good care of yourself, manage your energy and find a balance for yourself. But when you find that, it’s the greatest thing. I love what I do and when I see the people in front of me partying to my music and these happy faces during my show, – I know everything feels just right.“
