ADE Revisited: Kill The Buzz, Family Rekindled and Full of Energy

From nostalgic tracks to energy-packed sets, Kill The Buzz opens up about his ADE 2024 experience and what fuels his sound.

For DJ and producer Kill The Buzz, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE 2024) is more than just a festival—it’s a homecoming. Known for his high-energy tracks and memorable collaborations, Kill The Buzz returned to the ADE stage in 2024 with a performance that reignited nostalgia, reaffirming his place in the progressive house scene.

Kill The Buzz (Adithya Nanuru) has spent over a decade shaping the EDM landscape with his unique sound. In an exclusive EDMNOMAD interview, he shares, this year’s ADE offered him a chance to reconnect with old friends, dedicated fans, and the creative community that has defined his career.

A Family Reunion on the Legacy Stage

Stepping onto the Legacy Stage at ADE was a full-circle moment for Kill The Buzz. He shared a special back-to-back set with longtime collaborators Manse and Joey Dale. “The Revealed label night at the Q-Factory was the highlight of this year,” he shared. “We’ve toured Asia together, and being back on stage felt like a family reunion.”

Opening the night, the trio was met with an excited crowd, setting the tone for an unforgettable performance. For Kill The Buzz, one track stood out: “‘Once Upon a Time,’ which I created with Harrison, gave me chills. Hearing the crowd sing along to every word was incredible—it reminded me why I do this.”

Fitting Seamlessly Into Revealed Recordings

Since the early days of his career, Kill The Buzz has been a natural fit for Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings. His blend of progressive house and MainStage energy has resonated deeply with fans of the label. “Revealed is always pushing boundaries, which aligns with my music,” he explained.

Despite evolving trends within the label, Kill The Buzz has never felt pressured to adapt his style. “From the start, they’ve supported my sound. It’s always been about creative freedom. If I think something fits, I send it, and it’s a simple yes or no.”

This synergy with Revealed reflects his ability to stay authentic while embracing growth, a balance that has defined his career.

Lessons from the Best

Kill The Buzz recalls a valuable lesson about creativity, looking back at ADE 2024. Don’t be too mathematic about it,” he reflects. With a background in music theory, he admits to sometimes overthinking, letting technical details dictate his approach. “I’d think, ‘This note doesn’t match the key,’ or ‘This sound shouldn’t work,’ but I realized it’s more about having fun while creating music than treating it as a product.”

This perspective has reshaped how he approaches his craft, encouraging him to prioritize the joy of creation over rigid perfectionism. It’s a philosophy that aligns with the spirit of Revealed Recordings, where pushing boundaries and embracing innovation take precedence.

Balancing the Spotlight and Home Life

After the intensity of ADE, Kill The Buzz finds peace in the simplicity of family life. “I return to my girlfriend and kids at home and enjoy the dad-life,” he shared. This time away from the stage offers him a chance to reset and refocus. For many artists like Kill The Buzz, this ensures their creative energy remains intact for future projects.

Energy Personified

Kill The Buzz describes ADE as “full of energy with a big smile,” which captures the vibe of the night and his essence as an artist. “Looking back at the pictures and video recaps, it’s clear that this reflects who I am,” he said.

His commitment to delivering high-energy performances and connecting with audiences has made him a standout figure in the progressive house scene.

The Journey Ahead

With a career marked by collaborations, festival anthems, and support from industry titans like Hardwell and David Guetta, Kill The Buzz shows no signs of slowing down. Tracks like “Dreamin’” and “Galaxies” continue to resonate with fans, while his remix of Jason Derulo’s “Want To Want Me” showcased his versatility.

As he looks toward the future, Kill The Buzz remains dedicated to creating music that bridges the gap between Mainstage euphoria and melodic storytelling. His return to ADE’s Legacy Stage was not just a performance—it was a celebration of the journey that has brought him here and a reminder of the bright road ahead.
