After being recruited as an official UEFA Euro artist in 2019, Martin Garrix is finally releasing his highly anticipated Euros anthem. In a post made to his Twitter, The Dutch DJ announced the release date of the song to be his birthday on May 14. He revealed the collaboration with Bono and The Edge of the legendary U2 for UEFA Euro 2020’s official anthem “We Are The People We’ve Been Waiting For”.
Being a huge football fan, Martin cherished the opportunity to create the official song for the Euros. The multi-platinum selling producer had written the music before inviting the renowned rockstars to join him on the track for creating a ‘proper anthem’ having been in the works for over a year for the upcoming tournament. They’ve also been spotted in London working on shooting the music video for the track.
Originally scheduled for June 2020, Euros were delayed due to the pandemic and will take place this year starting June 11, with the final on July 11 at London’s Wembley Stadium. You can pre-save UEFA Euro 2020’s official anthem by Martin Garrix with Bono and The Edge here.
