Pop sensation Lady Gaga swept the 2021 Billboard Dance Music Awards taking home the Best Dance/Electronic Artist and Top Dance/Electronic Album for her critically-acclaimed album “Chromatica”. Imanbek bagged the award for Top Dance/Electronic Song with his viral hit remix of “Roses” by SAINt JHN.
While Lady Gaga might not be the traditional electronic music artist most people think of, it should come as no surprise given the dance music heavyweights on the production credits for her album. For her sixth Billboard chart-topping album “Chromatica”, Gaga recruited the help of Skrillex, Tchami, Axwell, BloodPop, and Madeon.
Imanbek won his second esteemed international award this year at the 2021 Billboard Dance Music Awards with his remix of “Roses”. In March, he became the first Kazakh musician to win a Grammy award for the Best Remix. With the popularity he’s continuing to gain from his remix, the 20-year-old producer is determined to not become a “one-hit wonder”.
Lady Gaga edged out DJ Snake, Gryffin, Kygo, and pop star Kylie Minogue for the Top Dance/Electronic Album. She also won the Best Dance/Electronic Artist award over Kygo, The Chainsmokers, Surf Mesa, and Marshmello. Imanbek was awarded the Top Dance/Electronic Song over Surf Mesa, Topic & A7S, and two nominations of Lady Gaga.
