Above & Beyond Bring ABGT700 Back to The Gorge Amphitheatre

Nine years after ABGT250 took place at the Washington canyon, Above & Beyond return to The Gorge for a three-day celebration of their 700th Group Therapy episode.

Above & Beyond are going back to The Gorge. Jono, Tony and Paavo have announced that the 700th episode of their globally celebrated Group Therapy radio show (ABGT700) will take place at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington State across the weekend of September 11–13, 2026. Three days, one of the world’s most breathtaking outdoor venues, and another milestone achieved. This would be one of electronic music’s most enduring stories.

ABGT250 in September 2017 marked the first ever multi-day Group Therapy show. Returning there for episode 700 seems like a deliberate and meaningful choice.

A Show Built on 14 Years of Milestones

Group Therapy was launched in 2012 as a successor to Above & Beyond’s former programme, Trance Around the World. Since then, Jono, Tony and Paavo have celebrated every 50-episode milestone with a performance in a different city, turning the radio show’s most momemorable moments into some of the most emotionally charged events in electronic music.

ABGT100 took place at Madison Square Garden in New York in 2014. ABGT150 sold out months in advance, with attendees travelling from all four corners of the globe. ABGT200 took place at Sydney’s Allphones Arena. ABGT250 arrived at The Gorge in 2017, the first ever multi-day ABGT show. ABGT300 landed in Hong Kong at AsiaWorld-Expo. Prague’s O2 Arena hosted ABGT350. ABGT500 sold out the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles within 24 hours of going on sale. Most recently, ABGT600 drew thousands of fans to Mexico City’s Hipódromo de las Américas for a two-day weekend, with over 300,000 fans tuning in worldwide via livestream, one of the most-watched ABGT events to date.

ABGT700 at The Gorge is the next entry in that list. And for the Anjunafamily, the venue choice carries its own weight.

Why The Gorge?

Above & Beyond held ABGT250 at The Gorge Amphitheatre on September 16th and 17th, 2017. It was the first multi-day ABGT show in the series’ history. For many who were there, it remains as an unforgettable event in the Anjunafamily story. The canyon setting, the open sky, and the scale of a community that had grown from a radio show into a global collective; all converged that weekend into something that proved hard to replicate.

ABGT700 builds on its previous edition this 2026. Friday September 11th opens with a pre-party on the Gorge festival grounds. Saturday September 12th brings Group Therapy 700 with Above & Beyond. Sunday September 13th closes the weekend with Anjunadeep Open Air at The Gorge, the deeper, more hypnotic label taking the same iconic setting in a different direction.

Who Are Above & Beyond?

For anyone new to the Anjunafamily, a brief introduction. Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki formed Above & Beyond in London in the late 1990s and have spent two decades building one of the most loyal communities in electronic music. The trio earned two Grammy nominations for “Northern Soul” featuring Richard Bedford and “We’re All We Need” featuring Zoë Johnston. Their fourth electronic album Common Ground debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 in 2018. They have headlined Madison Square Garden, the Hollywood Bowl, Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. They are described as “the world’s biggest cult band”. A description that captures something real about the relationship between Above & Beyond and the community that follows them around the world.
