beyerdynamic Introduces New Versatile DJ 300 PRO X Headphones

A decade after its last DJ release, beyerdynamic unveils modular headphones debuting at ADE 2025.

beyerdynamic returns to the DJ market with the launch of the DJ 300 PRO X and DJ 300 PRO X CLUB. These headphones mark the company’s first DJ-focused release in over ten years. They feature a unique 2-in-1 modular design, allowing DJs to switch instantly between on-ear and over-ear pads. The models also include customizable ear cup designs via the beyerdynamic online configurator. Both headphones debut at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) before launching in the U.S. in Q4 2025 for $279.99 (£213).

beyerdynamic DJ 300 PRO X: One Sound, Two Styles

The DJ 300 PRO X offers a clean, minimalist look for professionals who prefer understated style. In contrast, the DJ 300 PRO X CLUB adds bold silver forks, vibrant orange lettering, and a street-inspired aesthetic. This dual approach reflects beyerdynamic’s recognition of the diverse DJ scene.

The interchangeable pad system transforms each pair from on-ear to over-ear in seconds. DJs gain portability with the on-ear fit and enhanced isolation with the over-ear option. Therefore, this flexibility ensures seamless movement between studio and stage without changing headphones. As Kevin Nietsch, Product Manager, explains, “Our 2-in-1 system makes these headphones a versatile tool, while customizable ear cups let DJs make a personal statement.”

Precise Sound and Iconic Style

A dynamic 45mm driver delivers rich bass, crisp highs, and powerful sound that remains controlled even at high volumes. Exceeding the size of most DJ headphone drivers, it ensures clarity and precision across every kick, hi-hat, and transition.

Reliability is central to the design. The detachable cable connects securely via a bayonet mechanism, reducing handling noise and vibration. Additionally, an angled plug provides strain-free connection, allowing DJs to stay focused during energetic sets. This engineering aligns with beyerdynamic’s reputation for German craftsmanship and durability.

Built for Every Set

True to its legacy, beyerdynamic engineered the DJ 300 PRO X lineup for longevity. Each component, from headband to cable, is replaceable, supporting sustainability. The foldable design simplifies transport, while the included pouch protects the headphones between gigs.

Availability begins in Europe at €199.00 (£175), with U.S. sales starting Q4 2025 at $279.99 (£213). The public debut occurs at ADE 2025, where beyerdynamic showcases the headphones at the ADE Lab Village in Amsterdam’s Westerpark.
