Bonțida, Romania – July 16-19, 2026 — Romania’s Electric Castle returns to the iconic Bánffy Castle for its 12th edition, once again transforming the Transylvanian landmark into one of Europe’s most eclectic festival destinations. Running from July 16 to 19, Electric Castle 2026 brings together rock legends, electronic heavyweights, hip-hop innovators, and emerging artists across a non-stop, multi-stage experience.
Leading this year’s bill are alternative icons The Cure, arena favorites twenty one pilots, and soulful chart-topper Teddy Swims, while the electronic side of the lineup features major names including Chase & Status, Mochakk, Subtronics, Deep Dish, Kölsch, Solardo, SG Lewis, and the long-awaited reunion set from Skream & Benga.
The festival’s genre diversity remains one of its defining characteristics. British indie sensations Wet Leg and Nothing But Thieves, cult favorites Archive, singer-songwriter LP, and provocative Irish rap trio Kneecap are among the artists bringing alternative sounds to Bonțida. Swedish duo Yung Lean & Bladee, alongside acts such as Wilkinson, Eliza Rose, and Trinix, further expand the event’s global appeal.
One of the most unexpected appearances comes courtesy of Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, who will perform with his rock band Dogstar, adding another unique chapter to Electric Castle’s history.
Known for its 24-hour atmosphere, Electric Castle extends far beyond music. Eight stages, immersive art installations, camping experiences, and interactive spaces combine with the medieval surroundings of Bánffy Castle to create one of Eastern Europe’s most distinctive festivals. The camping area opens on July 15 with a dedicated opening party, kicking off nearly five days of continuous entertainment.
With more than 200 artists scheduled and attendance expected to exceed 200,000 festivalgoers, Electric Castle continues to strengthen its reputation as a cultural phenomenon that seamlessly blends electronic music, rock, hip-hop, visual arts, and technology.
As European festival season reaches full speed, Electric Castle 2026 once again positions Romania firmly on the international festival map, offering a lineup that balances legendary acts with cutting-edge talent and delivering an experience unlike any other in the region.
