Brandon Szabo Shared the Story Behind ‘Like This’ and About Upcoming Album

  1. Hey Brandon Szabo! Glad to have you here to talk with you about your latest release ‘Like This’.
  • Thank you so much for having me, it’s an honour and privilege to be gifted this opportunity to connect with you and the users of your platform in order to reach out and attempt to give back to others from a service mindset and provide my God given gift of artistic expression.
  1. Can you please tell us more details about ‘Like This’? How did it come to life and when?

It was a track created out of necessity.

The intention was to create an anthem for people to listen to in order to evoke a sense of personal power.

To stand up for what is right by invigorating, motivating, and empowering individuals who have endured any form of abuse, mistreatment, or discrimination.

  1. What sets ‘Like This’ apart from your previous work, and why should listeners tune in?
  • “Like This” is not just a song; it’s an incantation. It’s a testament and a covenant with oneself to stand up for truth, freedom, justice, and the morally and ethically right thing to do; regardless of what popular opinion, propaganda, or society might say about it.

I feel like alot of the time, we as a collective can get mislead by mass media’s agenda and the bias they exercise via psychological framing. This track is for all those people that have felt victimized or abused by others, to have a song to represent them, and to empower them to stand up to injustice and fight back; to metaphorically and vicariously say to their oppressors…

“No.”

I choose belief.

I choose empowerment.

Don’t like it?

Well…

“Like This”.

  1. How would you describe your sound?
  • Potent. Hard-hitting. Relentless.
  1. Who is Brandon Szabo and why music? At what age did you get into music and how?
  • He’s a vessel for truth and justice.

God / The Universe / “Fill in your preferred deity here” – has gifted me with an ability to tell stories and to utilize art to evoke change in the world. I take that responsibility extremely seriously and do my best to bring my best self to everything that I do to try and make the world a better place for others who are less fortunate or who may not have the ability to stand up for themselves.

  1. What else do you do besides music?
  • I’m a Triple Triple Threat: Music, Acting, Dancing, Choreography, Vocalist, DJ, Producer, Director, and Content Creator.

I love to just hangout shred some riffs on my guitar and mess around on the farm. Rip around on the quad (ATV), go for a run with the dog, and I love travelling the world and exploring. I have a passion for the unexplained & metaphysical and like to seek out mysterious and historical phenomenon to study and try to understand it.

My next challenge will be immersing myself within the world of martial arts and challenging my mind, body, and soul to see what I’m capable of in that arena.

  1. We heard you have an album coming soon, can you tell us more about it?
  • Absolutely! I’m very excited about my new album. Originally released 07/26/25 it was my debut album. After growing as an artist I went back and remastered all the tracks in an effort to give the best possible expression of that work to others to enjoy and experience.

It’s titled “0”. It’s a metaphorical representation of the goal of striving for self-actualization and constantly trying to get back to “0”; nothingness, oneness, unity with everything, nothing, and all that is. To get back to that childlike sense and state of play, curiosity, and bewonderment that we used to experience and bring to everyday life before we forgot who we are and how to access and tap into our raw power and syncronization with the universe.

  1. What inspires you, or where do you get your inspiration when you’re in the studio?
  • Everything inspires me.

From a positive perspective I’d say coaches and legends like Tim Grover, Nikola Tesla, and Martin Luther King Jr. are a few people that really resonate with me. They’re all rooted and grounded in a service mindset and give back to others regardless of the wicked and wild ride life has taken them on. They take the challenges and the negative experiences or things they have lost and instead of falling victim to them, create something out of it, and furthermore, give back to others in an effort to improve their quality of life.

Altruism is a very important concept for me and I try to govern myself accordingly. Those three individuals specifically, are people I constantly come back to when I need to check myself and when I get a little bit too wild and need to be brought back down to reality. Their teachings and mindset really propel me forward.

I’m a very disciplined and motivated individual and respect and study the greats like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant; specifically their mindset and mentalities. They were able to take, create, or transmute anything or anyone that came at them and use it as fuel and motivation for their next win. I try and approach life and my creative process in the same way.

  1. Can you tell us more about your dream and future collaboration and what do you hope to achieve in the next 3 years in your professional career?
  • I don’t really focus on dreams anymore per se.

However, I’d say “my dream” is like Kobe says, to enjoy and immerse myself in the process. To stay rooted and grounded in the present moment and work as diligently as possible to accomplish and give back to the world via whatever my focus is presently on in that current moment to the best of my ability.

“Those times when you get up early and work hard. Those times when you stay up late and work hard. Those times when you don’t feel like working, you’re too tired, you don’t want to push yourself, but you do it anyway. That is actually the dream.” – Kobe Bryant

  1. This is all for now. Thank you for your time answering our questions. Where can our community find out more about your music and your future releases?
  • To be honest, that’s tough to say, as life and circumstances are forever shifting and changing. I’d say just keep an eye out on your preferred streaming platform for new work that I put out because there is alot coming.

Finally, perspectives and social frameworks come and go, but music lasts forever.
