Cyanhill Music has announced the launch of CHINA EDM Vol.2, a groundbreaking project reshaping China’s electronic music landscape. Following the success of CHINA EDM Vol.1 in 2024, founder and producer/DJ ZHANGYE now introduces the first all-female electronic music compilation in China.
CHINA EDM: Building on Global Recognition
The inaugural compilation featured leading names such as BEAUZ, CORSAK, Panta.Q, Willim, and ZHANGYE. Distributed worldwide, it achieved strong recognition and reinforced ZHANGYE’s vision of bringing Chinese electronic music to international audiences.
As ZHANGYE explained during the Vol.1 listening session, electronic dance music is inherently global. His mission remains clear: connect musicians, support collaboration, and ensure Chinese EDM resonates across borders.
Spotlight on Female Creators
Over the past year, Chinese female DJs and producers have risen across major stages and international festivals. Some are blending traditional influences with global sounds, while others are pushing boundaries in house and techno. Yet, many remain underrepresented.
CHINA EDM Vol.2 addresses this gap by opening submissions exclusively to female DJs and producers. This marks China’s first all-female electronic music compilation, where music quality is the sole standard.
Submission Details
The project is recruiting nine tracks across two categories:
- Artist Group: Requires music and a full artist profile. Evaluation considers music, reputation, stage performance, and social influence.
- Newcomer Group: Requires music and a brief introduction. Evaluation focuses strictly on production quality.
Tracks must be 2-4 minutes, contain vocals, and include at least 50% English lyrics. Submissions close on January 18, 2026 at 24:00 (GMT+8). Entries should be sent to [email protected].
Selected artists will benefit from worldwide distribution with advance royalties, ensuring their music reaches audiences across continents. They will also gain access to cross‑genre vocal collaborations, including a superstar vocalist whose participation will be announced soon. Performance slots at leading international EDM festivals and the CHINA EDM LIVE Global Tour will further showcase their talent.
In addition, top European DJs will provide official remixes, expanding each track’s reach and creative impact. Media coverage will span Billboard, Mixmag, 1001Tracklists, RA, EDC.com, and WeRaveYou, alongside billions of impressions across Chinese social platforms.
Cyanhill Music will evaluate Artist Group submissions based on overall profile. Newcomer Group entries will undergo blind listening by Chinese and international industry professionals, ensuring unbiased selection.
CHINA EDM Vol.2 takes a bold step for Chinese electronic music and showcases the talent of female creators. Thus, the project recognizes artists for their skill and creativity, rewarding them for the strength of their work. Every DJ and producer aiming to break stereotypes can use this compilation as a platform to share their sound worldwide.
