POSITIV Festival 2025 Returns to Orange with a Powerhouse Lineup and Two Exclusive Encores

Set in a 2,000-year-old Roman amphitheatre, Positiv Electronic Festival 2025 brings three nights of high-impact techno to the heart of Provence.

This August 2025, POSITIV Electronic Festival returns for its seventh edition, bringing three nights of electronic music to the Théâtre Antique d’Orange in France. This a 2,000-year-old Roman amphitheatre in southern France. From August 15 to 17, the UNESCO World Heritage site will host a sharp, genre-focused lineup rooted in techno, house, and hard techno, attracting thousands of dedicated fans from across Europe.

Built in the first century AD and known for its exceptional acoustics, the amphitheatre offers a rare opportunity to experience modern electronic sets in one of the best-preserved venues of the ancient world. With a tightly curated lineup and a historic setting, POSITIV Festival 2025 promises an intense, no-frills festival experience.

A Strong Focus on Techno and Big-Room Energy

POSITIV Electronic Festival 2025 doesn’t flood its schedule. Instead, it delivers a concentrated, high-impact lineup of amazing artists across three days. This year’s bill reads like a highlight reel of electronic music’s most in-demand acts.

Belgian techno powerhouse Amelie Lens leads the charge, bringing her signature mix of fast-paced intensity and precise control. Paul Kalkbrenner returns with a full live set. His cinematic builds and soaring melodies perfectly suited for the amphitheatre’s immersive acoustics.

Melodic techno titans Mind Against bring their deep, atmospheric soundscapes to the ancient Roman venue. While Afterlife’s Argy blurs lines between melodic house and peak-time techno. UK chart-topper James Hype, known for his genre-bending, crowd-pleasing sets, brings a different flavor to the mix.

Elsewhere on the lineup, Anfisa Letyago brings her versatile, groove-heavy style. Joachim Pastor delivers rich, harmonic techno; and a B2B set from KAS:ST and Space 92 promises thunderous bass and sleek futurism. Meanwhile, Sara Landry and Nico Moreno, two of the scene’s most talked-about hard techno artists, will close out one night with an unrelenting back-to-back that’s built for intensity.

With this mix of live performance, hybrid sets, and high-BPM workouts, the lineup reflects Positiv’s vision: intimate in scale, but massive in energy.

Historic Venue, Elevated Production

The Théâtre Antique d’Orange is the festival’s anchor and its main differentiator. Unlike sprawling fields or stadiums, this venue features tiered stone seating, massive limestone stage walls, and an open-air design that’s remained intact since Roman times. Each night unfolds on a single stage inside the ancient amphitheatre. This approach keeps the focus tight and the energy continuous, letting the artists and venue work in tandem to build a truly immersive experience.

The venue’s natural acoustics eliminate the need for overproduction. Past editions have used projection, lighting, and atmospheric staging to elevate the structure into something wholly contemporary. As daylight fades over Orange, the visuals and sound intensify— creating a seamless narrative that builds into the night.

Positiv Expands the Experience with Two Standalone Events

This year, the POSITIV Electronic Festival experience extends beyond its August 15–17 flagship weekend with two special follow-up events set to deepen the festival’s impact.

On Friday, August 22, Positiv presents Diynamic Outdoor, a one-night showcase headlined by Solomun, and joined by Jamie XX and Four Tet. With Solomun’s legendary curation at the helm, this night promises to fuse house, experimental electronica, and melting moments. All set within the same iconic Théâtre Antique d’Orange.

The momentum continues on Saturday, August 23, with Adriatique presents X—a journey curated by the Swiss duo Adriatique. This experience will feature John Summit, known for his modern house anthems. Also, rising Spanish talent Alex Wann, and the meditative grooves of Marino Canal.
