With over two decades in bass music, SCORSI is an artist who has moved through eras, sounds, and scenes without losing his identity. Originally emerging in drum & bass under his alias C.A.B.L.E., he evolved into a project positioned between underground credibility and global electronic recognition, building a career through collaborations with artists such as Tropkillaz, Anitta, Alok, Autograf, NGHTMRE, and MC Lan, and reaching a major milestone with Alok Presents Scorsi, the first Brazilian EP on Spinnin’ Records, supported by Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, and Afrojack and approaching 30 million streams worldwide.
His catalog spans major labels including Spinnin’ Records, Warner Music, Armada Music, Universal Music, and Sony Music, alongside standout releases like Galaxy Cluster with Tropkillaz and the Rainforest EP, which hit #1 on Beatport, while also establishing himself as a multi-platinum producer credited on Halsey’s Without Me and the founder of Rush Puppy Records, a platform for emerging Brazilian talent. On stage, he has performed across Brazil’s biggest festivals and clubs including Rock in Rio, Laroc, Green Valley, and Tomorrowland Brasil, sharing lineups with artists like Tiësto, Diplo, and Steve Angello, and in late 2024 he entered a new creative phase with the Trilogy releases, redefining his sound into a darker, heavier club-festival direction that now leads into his 2026 debut album THE ALBUM IS FUCKING BRILLIANT, marking a fully independent era built on long-term creative vision.
- Hey SCORSI! Glad to have you here to talk with you about your album “THE ALBUM IS FUCKING BRILLIANT”?
- Thank you so much for the space
- Why did you choose the title “THE ALBUM IS FUCKING BRILLIANT”? What’s the story behind such a bold statement?
- It’s more of a joke than something that I came up with. A good friend of mine, Gerrit, has been one of my big supporters since day one, and an amazing engineer. He was one of the first people that I showed the complete sketch of the album. And he actually texted me that exact phrase. Thought it would be a good joke for such a serious album.

- Looking back at the entire project, what was the main vision you wanted to bring to life with this album?
- I always wanted to do an album, even as C.A.B.L.E. on the drum n’bass era, but never felt like I had a full story to tell. With this one, I wanted to showcase everything I’ve been doing with Scorsi, present my sound identity and bring some of that era to today’s sound. It’s literally a look behind the curtain of my life.
- The album blends energy, emotion and club-focused production. How would you describe its sound in your own words?
- A complete chaos organized in different chapters of my life as an artist.
- Who is SCORSI and why music? At what age did you get into music and how?
- That’s a deep one. I’m Daniel before anything, born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and there’s a huge (mess)combination of different influences from metal to rap and early dance music. My dad had a huge record collection, music was always there throughout my life, there was always a soundtrack for good moments that I still remember. I started playing guitar at 12, then Djing and producing. Drum n’Bass was my first love and I did that from 2002 until today, with a few gaps here and there. So heavy sounds, a lot of sampling, searching for something original, has always been my core in music. I created Scorsi because I wanted to do more outside of the 170bpm and felt like I needed a different name (combination of my 2 last names) where I didnt wanna worry which bpm or subgenre I was in. But I end up dragging the bass music core to it.
- Do you remember the name of the first song that made you love electronic music?
- I don’’ think there was just 1. I can name a few things that changed my life. The early stuff like Snap, Ice Mc, 2 Unlimited, Altern8, then Armand Van Helden, Dj Hype & Zinc, but when I heard The Prodigy – Music for Jilted Generation there was a big boom in my brain. And when I finally discovered Drum n’Bass, Bad Company UK drove me nuts!
- What were the biggest challenges you faced while creating this album?
- Agreeing with myself on which story I wanted to tell and how. What really represented me, what order I wanted to present the chapters and showcase what I had. And in these day and age, where you depend on an algorithm to show that to people, how to actually present it to the world (which I’m still trying to figure it out)
- After releasing “THE ALBUM IS FUCKING BRILLIANT”, what do you hope people will remember most about this chapter of your career?
- That I was being truthful with myself. I poured my heart, soul and brain on this. It is very challenging to strip myself naked in the form of music. So just for being honest.
- Can you tell us more about your dream and future collaboration and what do you hope to achieve in the next 3 years in your professional career?
- I just wanna keep doing what I’ve done in the past 2 decades. Make music I really like, that feels real to me, in the hopes of finding people that also understand that, and gives me the chance to travel the world showcasing that. And I hope I can do it for 20 more.
My biggest goal is still EDC, I haven’t played anything related to them, so I will see what happens in that 3 year window. I’ve done something with Nghtmre and there’s a few names that I would love to collaborate with, but I would rather leave it to the universe instead of naming it here.
- This is all for now. Thank you for your time answering our questions. Where can our community find out more about your music and your future releases?
- Thanks again guys.Just stay tuned on my socials and the streaming platforms. I just put out the album, but I already have more things lined up for the near future.
