Skrillex Launches New Platform CONTRA: 70+ Artists Take Over Kraftwerk Berlin

Taking over Kraftwerk Berlin next weekend, CONTRA brings together four rooms, immersive production design and a sprawling line-up.

Skrillex has launched CONTRA: a new platform described as “an evolving series exploring productive collisions between artists, scenes, and audiences across contemporary music culture.” Its debut takes place next weekend, May 30th and 31st, at Kraftwerk Berlin, developed in collaboration with Berlin Atonal.

The event shall take place at Kraftwerk’s main hall alongside Tresor, Globus, and OHM. Four rooms running from 5:30PM to 8:00 AM on Saturday and 5:30PM to 7:00 AM on Sunday, with access to each room on a first-come, first-served basis. Environmental design comes from Paris-based studio Matière Noire, reshaping Kraftwerk’s industrial scale through spatial light and sound intervention.

So Who’s Playing?

The lineup covers serious ground. Skrillex plays alongside Bladee, Ecco2K, Blawan, Juliana Huxtable, Crystallmess, BNYX, Malibu, Nick León, Tohji x Mechatok, Varg²™, KAVARI, ISOxo, Knock2, Isabella Lovestory, Nai Barghouti, Flowdan, Slikback, Batu, JASSS, Toma Kami, Bill Kouligas, Slim Soledad and more across the two nights. Drain Gang meets hard techno. Club experimentalism meets hyperpop. Over 70 artists in total.

Frequent Skrillex collaborator Boys Noize hinted at a surprise appearance, commenting on the event’s Instagram: “I wonder who ??? is”

Skrillex in 2026

CONTRA arrives during one of the busiest periods for Skrillex in recent memory. Upcoming tour dates include appearances at Bonnaroo, Sziget, Dekmantel, Boomtown, and Austin City Limits. He is also set to perform at Head Trip: a new boutique concept from Goldenvoice hosted at the Coachella grounds this October, alongside Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris, Four Tet, Peggy Gou, The Blessed Madonna, Dom Dolla and Kettama. CONTRA sits within all of that; a platform for a vision that has been building for a while.

Tickets are available via Resident Advisor for single-night or weekend access. The venue is Kraftwerk Berlin, Köpenicker Strasse 70, 10179 Berlin. The closest U-Bahn station is Heinrich-Heine-Strasse on the U8 line. Get tickets here.
