Small ToK, the married duo of Bat-El and Zohar, are winning the hearts of many pop-dance music enthusiasts in Israel and around the world. After releasing the stellar ‘Play Me’ earlier this year which resulted in massive support around the globe, the dynamic duo from Israel are back with an exciting new single. Not ones to shy away from breaking the genre barrier, “Reality” which is out now on Day Dose of House, offers a groovy blend of pop with electronic dance music.
‘Reality’ was born, like most of our tracks, while driving. This time it was on the back of a motorbike in the Philippines. BatL recorded the idea for the vocals on my phone and we went on from there.
This is actually the 4th version of this song, so happy we finally get to release it!”
Small ToK on the story of how the track came together
The single begins with percussive instruments and drums that evolve throughout the song. One would especially enjoy the bassline on the record that has a groovy feel to it. It works well under the creatively processed vocals which are enhanced during the drop with their vibrant piano. Their signature sound combination of emotional and energetic is showcased in the track progression with the use of orchestral instruments. Overall, this track fits the type to have on repeat as it delivers a sonic feel unique to the song.
Small ToK provide an experience during their shows that sees DJing along with live singing to create a more intimate connection with the crowd. The eclectic duo is on the rise and you can be sure to hear more of their music having been supported by R3HAB, Nicky Romero, Sam Feldt, Oliver Heldens, Teamworx, TriplM and many more.
