Zamna Festival has announced its return to India for 2025 and the Dutch melodic house duo Tinlicker has been confirmed as their second headliner. Following the first artist drop of rising melodic techno artist Korolova, the festival will span three cities. Namely, Bengaluru, Gurugram, and Mumbai, from November 28 to 30, 2025. This edition promises to combine the festival’s jungle roots with India’s urban energy. The festival aims to build on the success of previous editions that drew thousands into nights of immersive music and spectacle.
Tinlicker Returns to India After Five Years
For Indian fans, the announcement is particularly special. Known for their emotionally resonant productions and captivating live energy, Milo van de Ser and Jordi van Achthoven, the duo behind Tinlicker, are set to bring their signature sound to Zamna Festival after a five-year hiatus. They will bring with them a catalog of deeply emotive and atmospheric tracks that have made them global mainstays.
With timeless releases like Need to Feel Loved, Because You Move Me, and a steady output of melodic, progressive gems, the duo has built a reputation for connecting dance floors with an expansive emotional range. Their headline performance at Zamna India promises to be one of the festival’s standout moments.
Fans can expect a performance that blends introspective moments with euphoric peaks, perfectly aligned with Zamna’s immersive festival ethos. Their inclusion as a headliner signals the festival’s continued focus on progressive and melodic sounds. One that resonate deeply with the Indian electronic music scene.
Past Editions of Zamna India
Zamna’s journey in India has already seen two explosive chapters. The festival made its long-awaited debut in September 2024, touching down in Mumbai and Gurugram. The lineup brought global and local stars together. Mind Against, the Indo Warehouse showcase of Kahani vs Kunal Merchant thrilled fans with their performances. Plus live sets from Giorgia Angiuli, Shall Ocin, and Animal Picnic, all backed by Zamna’s signature visuals and production.
The success of this debut set the tone for the March 2025 edition. They returned bigger and bolder with Adriatique at the helm, supported by Brina Knauss, Toto Chiavetta, Vomee, and Bigfett b2b Wurtz across nights in Mumbai and Delhi NCR.
The Origins of Zamna
The story of Zamna, however, begins far from India. Zamna Festival traces its roots back to 2017 in Tulum, Mexico. A coastal enclave steeped in Mayan heritage and untamed cenote beauty. Founded by producer Stefano Laporta, the event emerged from intimate, starlit gatherings in the Yucatán jungle. One where ancient Mayan lore intertwined with cutting-edge electronic beats. Drawing inspiration from the love story of Mayan gods Zamná (the creator) and Ixchel (the moon goddess), Zamna was conceived as a ritual of connection, revering nature’s rhythms and humanity’s primal pulse.
What started as a niche celebration of underground house and techno quickly captivated international audiences. It transformed Tulum into a pilgrimage site for electronic music lovers. By its third year, Zamna mastered the art of unparalleled production. Towering LED installations mimicking bioluminescent flora, bass that echoes through the trees, and stages that dissolve into the foliage, creating an otherworldly escape.
Today, it draws over 110 nationalities annually to its flagship Tulum edition. The festival sees icons like Keinemusik, Black Coffee, Maceo Plex, Reiner Zonneveld, James Hype, Jan Blomquist, Charlotte de Witte, Tale of Us and Dixon.
