Control Room have been making waves in the house music scene with the release of their fiery new single “ICU”, out now via Gangsta House Records. After launching their brand at the end of 2020, the duo from Western Canada has been on their way up with a string of club-ready releases. Austin Kramer is the latest prolific act to support them on the single on his UNreleased radio show on Tomorrowland One World Radio.
“ICU” is packed with a lively ebb and flow of energy along with a unique blend of urban house flavour with bass house elements. It starts with a groovy beat over an ominous reese bass creating suspense before the vocals come in. Going straight into a minimalist build-up, the drop gets busier with dynamic elements keeping the track moving with the groove of the drums. What stands out the most is their grimy signature saw leads with a thundering bassline that make it perfect for the dancefloors.
Control Room has done a quality job of presenting their unique trademark sound with “ICU”, a record you’ll want to play on repeat. They have garnered support from prominent house acts such as Dr. Fresch, who’s played their songs multiple times in the past, and BIJOU. Their debut release ‘Bad Bitch’ hit #9 on the Beatport Electro House charts and their track ‘Bad Decisions’ topped the Bass House releases charts.
Given their track record and success in this short time, it’s safe to say you can expect more high energy house music from the duo.
