808 Festival: Bangkok’s Epic Electronic Festival is Back this 2025

Join Charlotte de Witte, Dom Dolla, and global DJs for three days of immersive electronic music and unforgettable festival energy in Thailand.

808 Festival Bangkok is back with its 12th Edition for a 3 day odyssey this 2025. One that is considered as Southeast Asia’s barometer for global electronic music trends. Returning to BITEC Bangna from December 5-7, 2025, the festival’s Phase 1 lineup showcases the regional appetite for music which has decisively shifted toward the darker, more nuanced sound of modern techno and tech-house.

Since igniting in 2013 as a one-dayer for Bangkok’s nascent EDM tribe, 808 has ballooned into a behemoth. It draws 100,000+ listeners across sprawling stages that fuse laser-sharp production with the city’s chaotic charm. It’s survived COVID’s chokehold, emerged leaner and meaner, and now mirrors the global circuit’s sprawl. Think Tomorrowland’s grandeur meets Ultra’s grit, but steeped in som tam spice and street-food alchemy. Organizers, ever the alchemists, tease a “full-scale immersion” blending artistry with bass that rattles your ribcage.

Phase 1: A Lineup That Reads Like a Techno Family Tree

The reveal, dropped like a perfectly timed breakdown in early October, is a masterclass in genre cartography. Techno’s dark knights charging alongside house’s sun-kissed evangelists. Alphabetical and unapologetic, here’s the vanguard:

Charlotte de Witte, recently voted The World’s No. 1 Techno DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs Poll 2025, leads the charge with her relentless, high-voltage sound. A guaranteed highlight of the weekend. Joining her is Dom Dolla, Australia’s house music powerhouse, known for crowd-shaking hits like “Saving Up” and “Eat Your Man.”

The full Phase 1 lineup brings together a dynamic cross-section of sounds:

Joins the roster are HNTRIndira PaganottoJuliet FoxMaddix, and Odd Mob. Also, Pan-PotReiner ZonneveldSammy Virji, Space 92, and William Kiss. Each representing the spectrum of modern club culture, from techno and hard groove to bass, house, garage and rave-ready anthems.

Organizers have teased an even bigger Phase 2 announcement. It promises special guests and new stage collaborations that expand the festival’s soundscape even further.

A Legacy Built on the Beat

Named after the Roland TR-808 drum machine that shaped electronic music, 808 Festival began in 2013 as a one-day showcase and quickly evolved into a multi-day phenomenon. From its early days at Nong Nooch Garden in Pattaya to urban expansions across Show DC and Live Park Rama 9, the festival has consistently embodied Bangkok’s vibrant nightlife and fearless creativity.

By 2023, 808 Festival Bangkok solidified its global reputation, celebrating its 10th anniversary with headliners Marshmello and Oliver Heldens. The 2024 edition, held from December 6–8, became one of its biggest yet. Over 30 artists across three stages, including James Hype, ZeddAnymaSara LandryChase & Status, and Adam Beyer, drawing crowds from across Asia and beyond.
