Justin Bieber dropped his sixth studio album, “Justice”, with dance music heavyweights Skrillex, Virtual Riot and TroyBoi making appearances on the credits for the album. While the pop star is not known for his electronic music, the album’s opening single comes in the form of ‘2 Much’, a collaboration he did with Skrillex and Virtual Riot. The track is laidback and shows us a blend of their signature styles outside of their typical electronic sounds, so no wubs.
After the opening track, Skrillex co-produced ‘Somebody’ which is more upbeat compared to the acoustic ‘2 Much’. There are no classic Skrillex wubs to be found in this song either but it shows his versatility to adapt and produce for other artists. The last song Skrillex worked on, ‘Loved By You’, falls more into the pop genre that we are used to listening to on the radio with a groovy feel and a touch of Burna Boy on the beat.
Troyboi also features on the album for the much-anticipated, ‘Red Eye’, which is offered as an exclusive bonus track on the album. The track has cheerful plucks with Troyboi’s signature elements for a seamless combination of the two artists’ musical styles for this fresh record. While the track isn’t available on streaming platforms yet, we hope it will be in the near future.
