After Covid 19 wiped-out a year of concerts&festivals, now the long wait is almost over. One of the first concerts this year has been held in Dubai, where Alan Walker lit up the stage with his iconic tracks.
On the 7th of January, the British-born Norwegian Alan Walker, known for his trademark mask, came to Dubai for the very first time and performed to a socially distanced live concert as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival. For almost two hours, festival-goers could hear smash hits like Faded, Alone, Sing me to sleep, and more.
”The Alan Walker concert was a real success, a welcome evening of entertainment and quality music which brought together music fans and families to enjoy a special talent in a safe environment”, said Sudhir Syal, CEO of BookMyShow Middle East.
”It’s my first time playing in front of a crowd during the COVID-19 pandemic, and seeing the promoters take such good care of restrictions, and everyone treating each other with kindness and respect at such a special time was truly beautiful to see from stage. It’s a view that I’ve missed – I can’t wait till we can press play on society together again”, wrote Alan Walker on socials.
The concert saw an audience of 2000 people keeping in mind all the safety norms in the time of Covid-19.
”We ensured thorough health and safety measures were implemented for the whole experience, including temperature checks on entry and socially distanced allocated seating in line with government directives during the show, as well as contactless payment for food and beverage purchases”, added Sudhir Saleh.
The organizers are optimistic about the future of the live industry and have exciting initiatives underway.
