Just over two weeks ago, Felix Kröcher dropped his latest single “I Am The Night” with LMNL. Now the legendary Techno DJ’s single gets a stunning new interpretation by one of the most acclaimed artists in the genre, Artche. Renowned for his vocal-driven style of melodic house and techno, Artche takes the original into a more melodic direction made for the peak hour techno lover.
Hailing from Newcastle, Artche started making waves in the electronic music industry with his debut record in 2018, a collaboration with Cristoph which was signed to Eric Prydz’s own Pryda Presents and topped the charts on Beatport. Talking about his excitement to remix the record, Artche said, “As soon as I heard Felix’s record with the amazing vocals of LMNL I jumped at the chance to remix it”.
Artche develops a strong groove on the remix right from the start with a fine balance of the thundering bassline with the other higher frequency elements. The UK-based DJ & producer puts his production style on full display with a new take on the song switching up the original arrangement structure. He introduces the exemplary vocals performed by LMNL, or Simon Batten after the break to create a cinematic feel. The vocals sound a bit different in the remix bringing an added touch of moodiness with the more upbeat production compared to the original. Overall, Artche has a solid remix here with a heightened use of percussive elements that add a new vibe while maintaining the essence of the original.
