Deep Dish Take Their Latest Album #GU49 Dublin to Mexico City This December

Dubfire and Sharam bring the #GU49 Dublin album celebration to Foro Pedregal on 4th December, in partnership with Global Underground and Cookie Mexico.

Deep Dish (Ali “Dubfire” Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi) are taking the #GU49 Dublin celebration to Mexico City. On Friday 4th December, Dubfire and Sharam bring their album party to Foro Pedregal in CDMX in partnership with Global Underground and Cookie Mexico. If you know anything about how Mexico City parties, you already know this one is going to be something. For those who have been following the story, Deep Dish recently released #GU49 Dublin on Global Underground. Coming after GU21 Moscow and #GU25 Toronto, the trilogy is complete and now the world gets to hear it live.

The Venue

Foro Pedregal sits in the south-west of Mexico City and it is a serious room. A modern, glass-fronted venue equipped with high-definition LED screens, advanced laser lighting, and a high-end sound system built for the kind of music Deep Dish make: heavy, hypnotic, and designed to move large crowds with precision. This will mark the first time Deep Dish perform at Foro Pedregal, a venue that suits the scale of what Deep Dish bring to a room. One that GU Founder Andy Horsfield describes with genuine affection.

“I’m so excited to bring Deep Dish and their Global Underground GU49 Dublin album party to Mexico,” Horsfield said. “A country we have a long history with, and we know only too well how the Mexicans love to party.”

About Cookie Mexico

The local partner for the event is Cookie Mexico. Operating as a leading nomadic event organiser across CDMX, Cookie Mexico curates exclusive, limited-capacity club nights, warehouse parties, and intimate showcases at the city’s best venues. Their roster of previous bookings includes John Digweed and Hernán Cattáneo, two of progressive electronic music’s most respected figures. This puts Deep Dish in distinguished company and speaks to the calibre of event Cookie Mexico consistently delivers.

“We have a long, long history here in Mexico with Andy and Global Underground,” said Cookie Mexico. “I’m so excited to bring Deep Dish and GU back to Mexico for this special one-off event. Let’s go, Mexico City.”

The Album & The Story So Far

For anyone who doesn’t know the full story behind #GU49 Dublin, here is a short version: Deep Dish, who formed in Washington D.C. in 1991, built their reputation through releases like their Grammy-winning remix of Dido’s “Thank You,” the UK top three single “Flashdance,” and six DJ mix compilations including GU21 Moscow and GU25 Toronto. They returned to Global Underground 25 years later to complete the trilogy. The album features an exclusive Deep Dish remix of Moderat’s “Eating Hooks” and landed to widespread acclaim from the electronic music community.
