Igloofest 2026 will mark a historic milestone as the festival lands in Edmonton for the first time. The expansion confirms Igloofest’s status as one of Canada’s most unique cultural exports, transforming icy nights into unforgettable dancefloor experiences.
Igloofest 2026: A National Celebration
Since 2007, Igloofest has turned Montréal’s Old Port into a winter playground. Crowds gather in colorful snowsuits, braving sub-zero temperatures to dance under the stars. What began as a local tradition has grown into a defining Canadian ritual.
The 18th edition will now span four cities.
The Montréal edition will open the season on January 15 and run until February 7, continuing the tradition that began in Old Port nearly two decades ago. Soon after, Gatineau will host its own edition from February 12 to 14, bringing the festival’s icy energy to the Ottawa region. Québec City follows with three nights of music from March 5 to 7, marking its third year as part of the Igloofest family. The season will then close in Edmonton from March 12 to 14, a historic first for Alberta and a bold step in the festival’s expansion.
Organisers have also confirmed that a fifth Canadian city will be added before the end of the year, further cementing Igloofest’s reputation as a defining winter celebration.
Montréal Lineup Brings Global Icons and Local Heroes
The Montréal edition features one of the festival’s most ambitious lineups to date. Across four weekends, Igloofest will host international stars, Canadian pioneers, and rising underground collectives.
Weekend one begins with Disco Lines, viral hitmaker behind No Broke Boys, alongside SOFI TUKKER, who recently lit up North Coast 2025. In addition, the Blaze and Sofia Kourtesis add depth with atmospheric DJ sets.
Weekend two highlights include Madeon, Nicole Moudaber, and Misstress Barbara, who celebrates 30 years behind the decks. Moudaber was recently featured at IMS Dubai 2025, underscoring her global influence. The weekend also debuts Skull Machine, a collaboration between Black Tiger Sex Machine and Kai Wachi, fresh from Together Festival Bangkok 2025.
Weekend three raises the stakes with Hamza, A-Trak, and DJ Snake, who just announced his new Nomad album after a record-breaking Paris show. In addition, Belgian chart-topper Lost Frequencies and Japanese producer Qrion round out the weekend.
Weekend four closes with Elderbrook, Weval, and DJ Seinfeld, alongside techno heavyweights Trym and AZYR. Rising names like Max Styler and Cole Knight ensure the finale balances global stars with fresh talent.
Local Collectives Shine Under the Frost
Igloofest 2026 also celebrates Montréal’s underground. Collectives like T.I.T.S. and Hauterageous will make their festival debuts, bringing raw energy to the icy stages. The Ferias collective and Homegrown Harvest spotlight emerging artists such as Alina B2B Guthrie, badgalquirit, and Traxence.
Fans can also expect sets from DJ Smokey and Shadow Wizard Money Gang, a Skrillex-backed crew gaining momentum across North America. These additions ensure Igloofest remains a platform for discovery.
Beyond Montréal: Edmonton Debut and National Growth
Edmonton’s ICE District will host the Alberta debut. Furthermore, the venue, which home to Rogers Place and Fan Park, is already a hub for large-scale entertainment. Partnering with OEG, Igloofest will bring its signature visuals, immersive stages, and playful Igloo Village activations to Western Canada.
With its mix of music, community, and winter spirit, Igloofest 2026 promises to be the festival’s most ambitious edition yet. Tickets go on sale November 7th, with presale access available November 6th through Igloofest’s official site.
