After days of speculation over the banners announcing a comeback, Swedish House Mafia are back with the release of a new single “It Gets Better”. The EDM mega-trio of Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, played the single for the first time in Stockholm during their reunion tour in 2019.
“It Gets Better” is the first track to be released by the star group in over 9 years, and comes ahead of the release of their debut album “Paradise Again”. It’s in a different direction than what we are used to hearing from them. Their big room sound has evolved into a tidy house beat infused with a techno feel instead of the hard-hitting drops. The drop is clean with a groovy percussion driving the rhythm.
They will also be performing their upcoming single “Lifetime” with Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake on Jimmy Fallon this Monday. It’s definitely interesting to see them develop a new more urban sound with the dark vocals weaving in and out of the production along with a range of electronic sounds.
