Henry Fong Talks About his Set for 1001Tracklists Virtual Festival and his Upcoming Collab with SAYMYNAME

Hello Henry, how are you?

Seen better days but I’m hangin haha

How has your life been affected by this global pandemic the whole world encounters right now?

It’s just been switching my time to adapt and finding new avenues as an artist to make revenue. It’s challenging but I don’t mind being pushed. A lot less time has been spent making music and more time strategizing and staying up to date with news.

Can you tell us more about yourself, how you got involved in the music industry and at what age did you start out?

I started as a resident top 40 dj and promoted an edm night in college in 2010! I eventually learned how to produce and moved to LA once I started getting records signed to labels.

Do you play any video games or sports? What do you love to do in your spare time?

I’m pretty big into some action sports, Surfing and MMA/jiu-jitsu is where I spend a lot of my time. I thrive in fast paced sports! I do play the occasional mario kart on switch with the fam though!

From where do you get inspiration while producing music?

I would say a lot of my inspiration comes from travel to be honest. There’s a certain feeling I channel into the music from that.

Who was the first person you told that you’re going to play at 1001tracklists Virtual Festival 3.0 and what was your reaction when your team informed you about this?

My team informed, i was excited because I have been using the site since like 2011 before you guys got popular haha

Have you ever played before at any other Virtual Festival and what makes 1001tracklists Virtual Festival stand out?

Yes i have played a few but this one stands out because the ability to integrate the live tracklists in it! It really helps the fans find new music

Can you tell us what the viewers should expect from your set and have you prepared anything special for your set?

Well the set is going to be from the beach, so its a very diverse and energetic set but also fits the scenery at the same time

Because the concert industry is currently on hold, do you work on new releases? Can you tell us something about when to expect a new song from you?

Yeah I have still been finishing new music! Mostly mixing ideas that I started, but I have this collab with Saymyname that’s going to be a monster!

What’s your biggest dream at this moment?

Biggest dream is to keep pushing the evolution of my sound and get a few hit records 🙂

This is all for now! Thank you for your time!

Thank you guys!!
