Soundstorm 2025 Opens with a Reimagined Festival Ground and a Powerhouse Lineup

MDLBEAST’s flagship festival, Soundstorm, returned for its sixth edition yesterday, kicking off with a spectacular opening day. Already known as a global powerhouse, the newly redesigned festival grounds prove that MDLBEAST continues to push boundaries. With some of the world’s biggest artists performing, crowds were more than ready for a weekend full of energy and unforgettable moments.

With thousands of attendees, over 80 artists, and 14 redesigned stages, Soundstorm 2025 is one of the most anticipated events of the year. The three-day celebration opened in true Soundstorm fashion, delivering the massive scale, atmosphere, and excitement the festival is famous for.

The opening night set the tone immediately. Rising global star Benson Boone and genre-blending icon Post Malone lit up the Big Beast stage, joining a lineup that also features dance legends Swedish House Mafia. Big Beast returned as the main stage with a brand-new, even bigger design. Elsewhere, Don Diablo, DJ Snake, and Calvin Harris inaugurated one of the new stages, transforming the Tunnel Stage into a full-blown spectacle from the very first beat.

This year, the festival grounds underwent their most ambitious transformation yet—now resembling an entire city where fans can seamlessly move through different musical districts. The Tunnel Stage anchors a new dance and techno zone in the West, supported by the Port, Plexi, Silk, Log, and Greenhouse stages. A highlight of the night came on the Log Stage, where Francis Mercier performed wearing the Soundstorm x Inter Milan jersey—a collaboration he leads, connecting Milan and Riyadh through music, creativity, and culture.

On the East side, Big Beast continues to dominate, now joined by the 6AG Stage, which spotlights regional and local talent, giving Saudi and Middle Eastern artists a prime platform. The first day featured performances by Dhom Altlasy, Ayed, and Ibrahim Alsultan. To the North, guests enjoyed live music, R&B, and hip-hop at stages like the Park Stage, with performances from Lil Yachty, Tyla, and Kaytranada. The South offered slower, atmospheric, and ambient sounds. At the center sits Downtown – the Eye of the Storm, a vibrant hub for gathering, exploring, and experiencing everything Soundstorm has to offer.

With such a powerful start, MDLBEAST has clearly set the stage for a record-breaking weekend. Friday night promises another wave of major performances, including headline sets from Anyma, Pitbull, and a highly anticipated DJ Snake b2b Metro Boomin showcase.
