ASOT Makes a Historic Debut in Vietnam this 2026

Ho Chi Minh City becomes the only Southeast Asia stop celebrating 25 years of A State of Trance this June.

Vietnam will make electronic music history in 2026 as A State of Trance (ASOT) confirms its first-ever festival in the country. The landmark event lands in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam on June 13, 2026, marking the only Southeast Asia stop on the official 25 Years of ASOT global celebration. For local fans, this debut reflects recognition earned through years of scene-building beyond hype. Vietnam is now spearheading the global trance movement in Southeast Asia. A Hong Kong stop is also confirmed for June 12, 2026.

Vietnam Steps Onto the Global ASOT Stage this 2026

Ho Chi Minh City will host the city debut at Van Phuc City, a modern urban destination designed for large-scale outdoor events. The venue choice signals ambition, scale, and confidence from organisers. They’re bringing a full ASOT experience designed for regional impact.

Presented by Ravolution Asia, LIVESCAPE, and Collective Minds, the collaboration brings together three influential forces shaping Asia’s live music ecosystem. Tris Truong, Founder of Ravolution Asia, framed the moment as a reflection of timing and readiness, stating, “Vietnam’s electronic music community has grown tremendously over the years, and bringing A State of Trance here reflects both the passion of local fans and the country’s readiness to host world-class music experiences.” Underlining a market that has matured organically.

From Radio Broadcast to Global Movement

Founded in 2001 by Armin van Buuren, A State of Trance began as a weekly radio show before evolving into a global cultural institution. Today, the broadcast reaches over 44 million listeners weekly across more than 80 countries. That scale reflects trust built through consistency rather than reinvention.

ASOT festivals highlight cinematic production, emotional pacing, and narrative-driven programming with the 2026 edition in Vietnam carrying the same values. Each edition treats the crowd as part of a shared journey. Speaking on the Vietnam debut, Armin van Buuren emphasised that sense of inclusion, saying, “A State of Trance has connected people through music for 25 years. Now, for the first time, we’re bringing that experience to Vietnam, and I’m beyond excited to welcome Vietnamese fans into the ASOT family in this milestone year.” This positions Vietnam as a natural extension of the ASOT community in 2026.

A Curated Lineup Built for the Anniversary

The Vietnam edition forms part of the official A State of Trance 25 Years celebration, with a lineup designed to reflect the past, present, and future of global trance. International supporting DJs will be announced at a later date. A highly anticipated face-to-face performance will anchor the night.

Within the ASOT ecosystem, F2F (face-to-face) performances carry particular significance. These moments rely on spontaneity, unrehearsed chemistry, and creative risk. They are rarely repeated and often remembered as defining experiences. The inclusion of this format signals confidence in Vietnam’s audience and its ability to receive rare, one-off concepts.

Regional Partners Signal Long-Term Vision

Beyond the lineup, the partnership itself carries strategic weight. Iqbal Ameer, CEO and Founder of LIVESCAPE, highlighted the regional implications, noting, “Partnering with Ravolution Asia and Collective Minds to bring ASOT to Vietnam during its 25th anniversary year reflects our belief in Southeast Asia as a growing cultural and tourism hub for major global music events.”

That long-term view is echoed by Collective Minds. Co-Founder Zaran Vachha described the event as more than a touring date, stating, “Bringing A State of Trance to Vietnam is more than a show, it’s a testament to the strength of the Asian electronic music scene, and a moment for fans across the region to unite and dance together again.” The emphasis remains firmly on community and shared cultural momentum.

A Defining Moment for Vietnam’s Cultural Calendar

As part of the global anniversary series, the Vietnam debut reinforces ASOT’s expansion into culturally significant markets. Southeast Asia continues to rise as a destination for electronic music tourism, with Vietnam increasingly positioned at its centre. The country’s nightlife and live music infrastructure now attract sustained international attention.

ASOT Vietnam 2026 represents both validation and acceleration. It acknowledges years of grassroots growth while opening doors for future global collaborations. For Vietnamese fans, the moment feels earned. For the international scene, it confirms Vietnam’s role as a confident host of world-class electronic music experiences.
