Spotify Wrapped But Make It Your Entire Listening History: Spotify 20 Is Here

To mark 20 years since its founding, Spotify has launched Party of the Year(s). A personalised look back at everything you have ever streamed.

Spotify Wrapped arrives every December and tells you what you listened to over the past twelve months. Party of the Year(s) does something a little more than that. It looks at everything, every song, every artist, every moment, going all the way back to the day you first opened the app. Both free and premium account holders can now access Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s) on the app. Consider it Wrapped’s older, wiser sibling.

Twenty Years of Spotify

In 2006, Spotify was founded on the belief that technology could bring artists and fans closer together. It provided a safe, legal, and user-friendly alternative to the rampant piracy threatening the music industry at the time. The platform has grown substantially since, expanding into one of the world’s dominant audio platforms with a reported 751 million users and 290 million subscribers in more than 184 markets. It moved well beyond music along the way, building a significant podcast business and more recently investing heavily in audiobooks. Twenty years is a long time in any industry.

Party of the Year(s) is Spotify’s way of marking that milestone personally rather than collectively. Not with a press release about global streams, but with a mirror held up to your own history on the platform.

What Is Party of the Year(s)?

The experience is mobile-only and available across 144 markets in 16 languages. It surfaces data that Spotify has never shared with users before. It goes deeper than any Wrapped has gone and further back than any year-end recap.

Open it and you will find your first day on Spotify, your first ever streamed song, the total number of unique songs you have listened to across your entire time on the platform, and your all-time most-streamed artist. Each data point arrives as a shareable card. Easy to save, send to friends, or post directly to social media.

The centrepiece is your All-Time Top Songs Playlist. 120 tracks pulled from your complete listening history, with play counts visible for the first time. Save it to your library and you have a personal archive of everything the algorithm has learned about you since the day you signed up.

How to Access It

Open the Spotify app on mobile and search “Spotify 20” or “Party of the Year(s).” Alternatively, head to spotify.com/20 on your mobile browser to get started. The experience works on both free and premium accounts.

Spotify’s team has also curated a selection of global playlists celebrating the defining eras, movements and cultural shifts of the past two decades. The feature is available now for both free and premium users and sits inside a broader hub of 20th anniversary content that has been rolling out across the platform over recent weeks.

Party of the Year(s) is live now. Find yours here.
